One of the best Xbox Live Arcade games available.
-
It's fantastic and it keeps us up at night. There's no better endorsement.
-
Thankfully, there are checkpoint rounds so you don't have to start from the beginning of the game if you die, although you always have that option.
-
The one thing that’s missing from the package is a multiplayer mode which, while not as important as in other Xbox Live Arcade titles, would have really been icing on this already attractive cake.

X-ONE Magazine UKIt's simple to play, easy to learn, absolutely impossible to complete. [Issue #7, p.120]
-
AceGamezThe cute characters, quirky storyline and unusual approach to the genre make AstroPop a blast for a while, but you'll be unlikely to want to play it for more than short bursts.
-
360 Gamer Magazine UKThis is great old school block-busting that is more than worth the 800 MS points. [Issue #16]
-
Astropop is a charming and colorful puzzle game that mixes things up with some anime-style storytelling and even some space shooter action elements to create an original and engaging gameplay experience that will delight young and old alike for months to come.
-
It's a colorful block-busting game with a good sense of style and classic gameplay in the same vein as Money Puzzle Exchanger or the Magical Drop series.
-
Official Xbox MagazineThere's actually a story, but you'll ignore it to get to the wall-bashing action. [Jun 2006, p.61]
-
A fantastic title with appropriate visuals, sound, and energy. It’s a shame however that it all just seems so familiar.
-
The fast paced music helps in getting your blood pumping and gets those blocks moving.
-
Astropop is a fun, but ultimately short-lived experience that's missing the X factor of the best puzzlers to drag you back for long.
