Ezio parkour's through history once more, with a beautifully rendered Constantinople as his new home. The scenes set in modern times make for a change of pace, but otherwise there's little to choose between this and the previous game aside from yet more side missions and bells and whistles that actually add little to the narrative.

Didn't keep me entertained for as long as the games before this. The story is good, but Constantinopole isn't nearly as fun to explore as the cities of Italy, and some of the new ideas like the tower defense mode aren't all that great.

+ Masyaf!

    Cons:
    - Desmond missions don't add much and feel more like a prototype than the real game.
    - Constantinople has a few cool sights (like Hagia Sofia), but otherwise is pretty generic.
    - Masyaf missions are poorly designed.
    - Tower defence missions are an abomination.

The game was enjoyable for me, but didn't give too much new content compared to the previous installments. The developers gave some new mechanisms, elements to the game, but they also removed some features. The plot is interesting, so it encourages to finish the story. The game seems like to be lost in all the aspects that proposed in the beginning. The "defend the tower" system doesn't work at all, the battle decayed comparing to the Brotherhood, the assassin's guild that you can manage doesn't show you the minimum difficult to work out and the battle seems to use a different system, seeing that is very mechanical, which doesn't appear on Brotherhood. The game seems like to be lost in all the aspects that proposed in the beginning. Meantime, the closure of Ezio's history is very consistent and pleasure to watch and play.

This game is almost perfect , the story it´s really good for the fans, it finishes with Ezio´s story and with Altair´s story; the hookblade its really great for climbing and going through the city , maybe the only problem is that the parkour animations and the combat, it´s the same that in AC2 and AC brotherhood.
But in general, its a masterpiece

Brotherhood had for me the same problems with AC2...
Revelations have a better story than his predecessor but the gameplay it is still the same and starts to feel repetitive.

considering i played this game and finished it at least five times and it being the first assassin's creed i've ever played i'd say it's an amazing game that introduced me to a great franchise (for the most part) , and yeah sure i can see why older fans of the franchise find it more mediocer after playing the game before it since it uses most of the same mechanichs in the previous games ,considering i played this game and finished it at least five times and it being the first assassin's creed i've ever played i'd say it's an amazing game that introduced me to a great franchise (for the most part) , and yeah sure i can see why older fans of the franchise find it more mediocer after playing the game before it since it uses most of the same mechanichs in the previous games , but that doesn't make it bad in my eyes if you want to play it just go buy assassin's creed the ezio collection on ps4 or xbox one so you can experience both of its prequals (and you won't be as lost as i was then) Expand

If you are already invested in the series then playing Revelations isn't even an option - it's mandatory. The story is just too important, and frankly, this is the best in the series when it comes to story and action sequences, and not even misplaced tower defense distraction and endless city domination missions can hold it back.

As it stands Assassin's Creed: Revelations is worth playing, but not as a premium title. The content is thin, the game isn't as interesting, and Ubisoft shouldn't have diluted the game to make a yearly cycle. In a glut of other games to buy during the holiday season, it just doesn't stand out as a must-have.
