    The DLC that quite literally nobody asked for, or even wanted. Remember those Desmond sequences on Animus Island in the main game? The game play is identical to that, but there's extra trap types to deal with, and you get a jump pad now. Hooray /s. You are still going to be walking painfully slow as you dredge your way through fairly simple puzzles. It does explore some moderatelyThe DLC that quite literally nobody asked for, or even wanted. It does explore some moderately interesting backstory for Subject 16, Lucy, and Abstergo, but that's all this DLC has going for it. Unless you want achievements (and frankly a couple of them are awfully annoying to get), read a summary of the dialogue or story for this DLC, this is arguably one of the worst DLCs I've had to play. DLC was never a particular strong suit for AC games, but this is bottom of the barrel bad. The backstories give this DLC a measly point out of 10.… Expand

    It's an intriguing new piece of the puzzle, to be sure. But the two-hour Lost Archive quest doesn't go quite far enough in pushing forward the overall series storyline, making it less essential for those who care more about Assassin's' open-world adventuring than the lore behind it.

    The Lost Archive will blast an evening from your life, and give you something minor to chew on until Assassin's Creed 3. But this udder sac is pretty much drained.
