Sep 6, 2020Шедевр игровой индустрии, игра которая остается в памяти и ты помнишь те переживания, которые испытывал 8 лет назад проходя игру. Обязательна для прохождения отличный триллер! 9/10

Jan 3, 2021Amazing game. Remedy continues their Max-Payne like dark style of story-telling. Great atmosphere , very alive cutscenes , considering 2010 HW limitations. Music , presentation , eerie sounds, everything feels alive. There are some flaws in combat system , but i easily forgot them , being caught by plot and "something-extraordinary-should-happen-right-now" feeling.

Jun 7, 2020One of the best stories ever made in the game industry. Movie like scenario, quite perfect. But in downside it is sometimes making you feel stucked in the same thing over and over again.

Oct 13, 2021This game has an amazing story and characters I love this game as a kid and can't wait to play the remaster for this game.

Aug 9, 2023Second play through in 2023 on XSX in back compatibility. Still great fun for over 10 hours in 60 FPS and 540p :)

Mar 13, 2022This game is one of my favorite Xbox 360 games for a reason. The gameplay is well thought out, the graphics are still good and the episode structured story is masterful. There are only few game studios that can craft interesting and thought-provoking games with the same quality as Remedy. Alan Wake is an underrated piece of art and a must-have for everyone.

Nov 26, 2022A awesome game I like it many times I had seen this in the digital store and never really gave heed until one day I did and when I did I fell for the hysteria and wake of the game then I found out this story was 14yrs in the making and is connected to other franchises awesome game remedy are masters of there art

Nov 24, 2010Alan Wake was almost more of a cinematic experience than anything else. The game play itself wasn't all that difficult, and the linear path of the story left me feeling that I had little control over the outcome. I still enjoyed it and can appreciate the artistic value of this game.

Nov 15, 2015Personally really loved every moment of this game. Loved the atmoshere and the story telling ellements and the fact that its basically like an episode of the Twilight zone with a bit of Twin Pecks in their. Nothing is quite like this game which is why it truly is an amazing jem.

Aug 6, 2014I really enjoyed this game. It wasn't all that scary and the story wasn't the most coherent, but it's one of those games where everything seems to mesh really well together. It's got a nice creepy Twin Peaks kind of vibe, fun combat, and a bunch of thermoses (thermi?) to collect. Certainly doesn't reinvent any wheels, but the wheels on this game roll just fine.

Jun 1, 2013nailed the atmosphere of a decent horror novel and if your a Stephen king fan or a twin peaks fan. this is for you. also any fan of horror and story telling. there is not much verity in enemy's but the game does not outstay its welcome.

Jun 9, 2014Immersing game. Its rich atmosphere brings you into a complex and dark environment. Its almost a movie game. It would be 10, if it was possible to interact with the NPC's and to walk into different endings.
-
Jun 17, 2014Love the freaky atmosphere and mind-f*ck mystery/supernatural/thriller story line. Shooting bad guys can get a bit monotonous but it's worth it to get to the end.

Apr 10, 2020A twisty 3rd person shooter that combines The Twilight Zone with Northern Exposure. From the creators of Max Payne, the game takes the form of episodic television. It's a smartly written yarn with sharp graphics and enjoyable (if repetitive) gameplay. Fans of Silent Hill should get a kick out of this. I would rate this with an 8.3 out of 10.

Oct 25, 2020Played it in 2020. That was exiting experience: interesting storyline, creepy inventory and cool narrative. The gameplay hasn't aged well, and the control is quite poor, but it's a great game for all the game pass members.
-
Jan 29, 2021A great story, good gameplay and a great idea. Yet, I can't consider this game is on the same level as the classics. Still recommend everyone to play it!

Oct 6, 2010This game is fun the first time you play it. But thats the thing about it. You will only truely enjoy this game the first time you play it. After that, as with so much other games, the magic is no longer there. I do reccomend this game to anyone as it is highly playable. However not worth the 5 year wait.
-
Dec 8, 2010Interesting storyline and gameplay but no need to play it a second time. The add-ones available provide some extended time and some new ideas. If you want to pick one, download The Writer which provides some good moments.
-
Nov 19, 2011Alan Wake is a fairly well made horror game with some interesting concepts such as the use of light but suffers from its influences. The characters setting and story are nothing you haven't read or seen in a movie a dozen times.Though initially disconcerting,it soon wears off and becomes a generic,so-called horror game. This game may as well be called Stephen King.

Sep 12, 2013A very unique game with an interesting concept, I found the storytelling interesting if a bit cliche at times and the experience all together enjoyable. The creepy vibe is achieved well and the combat is fairly fluid if you are not a klutz with a controller. I played this game solidly all the way through and was not disappointed, a great game and I would love to see a proper come next gen.
-
Jun 19, 2013It was fun, it just got a bit old to me. The story was interesting, but the whole time I did not know where it was trying to go with it. To honest none of the characters were really memorable. It was fun but I would have to say there are many other games that Xbox has to offer that are way better.

-
Feb 28, 2023Excellent atmosphere and style, if only the writing doesn't constantly fall flat, along with the incredibly boring protagonist.
-
Jul 21, 2023If there was "Stephen King, the Video Game," this would be it. A thriller/horror/shooter that may not have aged extremely well, but was a standout at it's release.

Aug 28, 2010Descent game with a cool atmosphere. No real variety in enemies and you don't get the real ending which must be downloaded at a cost. Graphics are subpar and the story is quite good, but not great as some would want you to believe.
-
Oct 22, 2010I like my games with a bit of story to them, and Alan Wake is just that. Alan Wake himself makes a interesting character, and if only their was more to the combat and then this would make for a pretty sweet game. Nothing about it is 'special', though, and because of that, it'll be forgotten about in a few years.

Feb 16, 2012This game is simply unremarkable, repetitive as hell, and boring. Not to mention the 'awesome writing'. I've seen better stories from 8th graders. This should only appeal to people that haven't read anything better than a Goosebumps book.
-
Nov 27, 2017Boring and ordinary gameplay, uninvolving, uninteresting generic convoluted survival plot, terrible writing, sub-par graphics, and cliched horror survival mechanics all come together to make Alan Wake.
-
Apr 8, 2011Episode 2 of Pokemon had better writing. Seriously, this is just a game dressed like a tv show with repetitive as hell gameplay. Apparently the cancer of casual gaming is spreading faster than I thought. You should be embarrassed to review this well.

Dec 27, 2022This game is mediocre. Stephen King wanna be plot and repetitive, unremarkable gameplay. The game is also glitchy. Don't bother. Play something from Resident Evil instead.

Jul 7, 2023There's really nothing like it, yes it's strange and the line delivering from the characters are intentionally blocky, but this game nails atmosphere like no other! Scarier than any Resident Evil or Dead Space, despite the lack of any gore. A must play!

Alan Wake is finally here, and it's as good as we expected. Rich environments, great story, superb gameplay, many areas to explore, interesting characters... A great game that is not the ambitious project Remedy wanted it to be, but it's glorious anyway.
-
Alan Wake lacks that little spark of genious that distinguishes a good game from a masterpiece, an H.P. Lovecraft from your average Stephen King.
-
While its not the generation defining game the epic development schedule might've hyped, Alan Wake is still a fantastic, 10-hour-plus play-it-on-the-couch linear action game - with brains required or not depending on your preference.
