Puzzles fans rejoice - another high quality product in your favourite genre has arrived on WiIWare for only 1,000 Nintendo Points.
-
The core concept is immediately engaging, but the game doesn't restrict itself to just the limits of its original idea -- it expands upon the initial gameplay of just placing your little pseudo-humans in balanced positions on floating cubes, and introduces depth-building additional elements like enemies, surfaces with altered properties and co-operative play.
-
With its unique gameplay, addictive multiplayer, lively characters, and stylishly minimalistic visuals, You, Me & The Cubes is exactly the kind of game what the Wiiware scene needs more of.
-
You, Me and The Cubes offers, like every good puzzle game, a simple and addictive experience, attractive by itself, without many complications.
-
Pelit (Finland)A simple, stylish, interesting and definitely original action puzzler. [Dec 2009]
-
Its design is an exercise in perfect, effective simplicity, and with only a few tweaks it would have slotted perfectly into the Art Style series. It's clean, it's simple, and it's understated in the best kind of way.
-
As difficult as it all sounds, You, Me, and the Cubes is actually one of the few games I can play that actually relaxes me.
-
An original puzzle game hits Nintendo Wiiware service.
-
I really like this game, despite the fact that it can get a little repetitive and the Fallos look sort of ugly.
-
Just like every good puzzle should be, You Me and the Cubes is based on a simple, yet brilliant concept. There are some flaws, especially regarding the controls and the repetitive gameplay, but it's however a pleasure to play in short sessions.
-
This is the ideal puzzle game to pick up once in a while when you have an hour to spare. The gameplay works like a charm and it keeps you alert and makes you work hard to keep the cubes in balance. At least the game certainly is in balance. A breath of fresh air on WiiWare. Nintendo shows how it’s done.
-
You, Me & The Cubes is an incredible addictive first-party puzzle that was shown for the first time on London, causing a big impression trough the fans. Now it has proven his quality, dealing with some minor glitches that won't affect the game quality. Being a WiiWare development, it's one of the most interesting puzzle titles that we've tested this year.
-
Official Nintendo Magazine UKIt's addictive, it's quirky and it's infuriatingly hard. A cracking puzzler. [Dec 2009, p.97]
-
A well-executed, cleverly designed puzzle game. It won't last you particularly long - while the latter stages are fiendishly difficult, the game isn't infinitely replayable like Tetris, for example.
-
games(TM)For some, the act of simply throwing little computer people around will remain its most compelling feature. [Dec 2009, p.128]
-
At a lower price point, this underachieving might be tolerable, but for 1000 Nintendo Points we'd hope for something that had more than a good idea and abundant promise to its name.
