It’s an evolution, for sure, but not an entirely exciting one.
-
Some things in this game will hold your attention, but so many of the games, like Bob Sledding, are just plain not. The game as a whole just lacks pizzazz.
-
Despite the dull window dressing, Winter Sports does have lots of game modes. There are more good events than bad ones. The good ones actually show some pretty well thought out ways to use the Wii controls to good effect - a solid effort.
-
The graphics aren’t nearly as polished as official screens would have you believe, and the game – while better than every other Conspiracy effort thus far – grows dull fast. Unless you can find this one extremely cheap, skip it.
-
This title isn’t altogether terrible, but gives you no incentive to make you want to keep playing.
-
Nevertheless, the usually timed Winter Sports: The Ultimate Challenge is an okay rental choice if you’re looking for brief, sporty mini-games based on Olympic events and aren’t keen on Mario & Sonic lighting your torch.

JamesG.Jul 1, 2008This game was a major waste of money. The controls are weird and the game experience is purely frustrating.
