  1. It’s an evolution, for sure, but not an entirely exciting one.
  2. Some things in this game will hold your attention, but so many of the games, like Bob Sledding, are just plain not. The game as a whole just lacks pizzazz.

Despite the dull window dressing, Winter Sports does have lots of game modes. There are more good events than bad ones. The good ones actually show some pretty well thought out ways to use the Wii controls to good effect - a solid effort.

The graphics aren’t nearly as polished as official screens would have you believe, and the game – while better than every other Conspiracy effort thus far – grows dull fast. Unless you can find this one extremely cheap, skip it.
  5. This title isn’t altogether terrible, but gives you no incentive to make you want to keep playing.
  6. Nevertheless, the usually timed Winter Sports: The Ultimate Challenge is an okay rental choice if you’re looking for brief, sporty mini-games based on Olympic events and aren’t keen on Mario & Sonic lighting your torch.

This game was a major waste of money. The controls are weird and the game experience is purely frustrating.

This game gives you everything you would expect from an olympic game collection and overall it is better than the Mario and Sonic Olympic game. One reason is because winter sports lend themselves to the Wii. In other words the controls make sense and work well. Downhill sking is by far the most fun and is worth the price alone. Cross Country skiing is also surprisingly fun. Why can't they just make these games online enabled? Full Review »
