AnonymousMCNov 12, 2008My little girl seemed to enjoy dancing around with the Wii-mote to this, so I would probably rate his as a 7 if I were rating a toy, but as a video game rating this for you other gamers out there, I have to give it a 0. But if you're a real gamer then I guess you probably know this already. Avoid!

TomJan 5, 2009Apparently Miyamoto made a deal with the devil. The devil would allow him to make a bunch of incredible gaming series but when the time was right he must make the worst game of all time. Congrats, your end of the deal is complete.

BradW.Oct 23, 2008This game is a travesty and an insult to every gamer on the planet. I cannot believe how something like this could have been released to the market. This 'game' has no scores, no goals, no point and the controls don't work at all.

Jun 24, 2015THIS GAME SUCKS! Rock Band is much better and more realistic than Wii Music. Wii Music is the worst Nintendo game ever made. It's boring, has terrible songs, and an unrealistic gameplay. Rock Band has a more realistic gameplay than this game.
-
CBJan 2, 2009Okay, they certainly could have had a better selection of music, but other than that this is quite good. I wouldn't consider it a game so much as musical learning that is great for families to play together. Younger children in particular will benefit from learning music basics. Its not Rock Band or Guitar Hero, but those dont' teach music. Wii Music does.

RObKDec 8, 2009This game's amazing! Unfortunately, it is a bit difficult and takes some skills with the Wii to be really dig into it (which is why the lower scores). Remix the songs or come up with new ones, share videos with friends, replay the song until you nail it "just right"! It's harder than MegaMan 9, but Definitely worth the challenge because it's so much fun.

JohnkNov 12, 2008Amazing game! People who say that it's simplistic are obviously not playing the game! Mega Man 9 is pretty simplistic if you think the point is just to die a lot.
I clock more hours in this game than any other giht now - and that's saying a lot. -
-
Dec 17, 2018While the presentation and idea are both fantastic, it's hard to say that matters when the main music playing, song selection, and modes are all extremely sub-par to the point they all make this game really pointless and dumb, which easily makes this the worst in the "Wii" line of games.

[Anonymous]Oct 31, 2008If you rate this game under an 8 you are not a gamer. Wii Music stands for what is right in video games and that is entertainment, having fun, and great game play all of which Wii Music has.

AlanSNov 2, 2008I don't think this is really a"game", but it's a really fun tool for developing a wide range of musical skills. People who are expecting Guitar Hero will be disappointed, but this piece of software is much deeper and more complex than GH, while also being far more accessible to non-gamers.

MathewMathewNov 22, 2008Super Mario Galaxy and Twilight Princess were my favorite games on the wii, then I played this. Wii music is so unspeakably good, I've been a gamer for 12 years and I can honestly say I've never played anthing like it. Not only is this the best Game on the Wii, but probably my second favorite game of all time.

JamesDeMilleDec 18, 2008Before buying wii music I was under the impression that you could create your own songs. When I played it and found out that you couldn't I was a little dissapointed, but found that the game could stand without it. I think any gamer should pick up the controller and find something they like about this game.

ArthurZOct 24, 2008The game is deeper than it looks, re-arranging songs requires a lot of rhythm and can be something fun and rewarding. It also has a good educational value. Perfect for kids. The controls, though, are not as intuitive as they could be and take some time to master. Experimenting with instruments and songs and making videos is fun in the beginning but gets tiresome after some time.

Dec 25, 2011This is a fun games, yes, but it's one of the most disappointing games on the Wii. It does show some potential for the series to continue however. The exclusion of scores and goals is what leaves it as nothing more than a shell. The variety of instruments, game modes and the ability to create videos are nice additions.

Dec 19, 2012This isn't exactly a game that you'll spend all day playing. Since there aren't really any rules when you are creating a jam you can just give it any rating you want. Creating covers is fun with all the options you have. The minigames are fun to play.

Jan 6, 2018I didn't hate this game as much as some people seemed to, but overall it was a super shallow game that was interesting at first glance, but once you realized how bad it performed and how limited it was, the game got boring really fast.
-
Oct 28, 2019Wii Music is not really a game but it's a musical game that introduces people into music.
-
Jul 16, 2020this is truly a masterpiece. this game proves that this millennium has something going for it despite everything going on. i would give it an 11 if i could.
-
Mar 27, 2021My playtime on this game sums it up. Probably over 1000 hours. However when I was younger I loved playing this game. It was because when I was very young I found it cool and fun that shaking a wii remote would make musical noises. It kinda carries on to this day.

Easily the worst Wii game. It's just really boring and not fun and... zzz. -
Nov 18, 2022Well the reason that i think this game is just so bad is because of the controls are horrible!

Wii Music may have a hard time winning over the skeptics who just want to laugh at it, but give the game the chance it deserves. You just might realize it's pretty damn fun being in on the joke.
-
Wii Music is an odd duck. It is far from a traditional videogame, and more akin to a tech demo or social audio experiment. The fact that it is so very basic means it's completely accessible to anyone, but at the same time there's not much here to interest regular and core gamers.
-
Most adults will quickly recognize that Wii Music is little more than a noise maker tied to a series of gestures and grow bored of the experience in a matter of hours, if not minutes. The controls aren't particularly intuitive , but gimmicky, and the selection of music is fundamentally flawed with both dated public domain songs rendered in equally dated MIDI.
