The game's a little too slow for our liking, and it'd be nice to skip out on some of the dealer animations to get things moving, but the core blackjack mechanic is there, and it’s all laid out well.
-
It may be a nice little time-filler, yet we can't see anyone playing this for hours at end.
-
After each round, you’re forced to watch a 20 second animation of the dealer paying out to the winners and collecting cards and chips from all the players. While it may be nice to see the first few times, 20 seconds between rounds is a long time to wait, and after 10 or 12 rounds, it can be infuriating.
-
For the money and the file space, it is just not worth it, and I am not kidding about that space. V.I.P. Casino: Blackjack takes up over 200 blocks of your memory.
-
The creepy lifelessness of it all can be mitigated somewhat with the addition of up to three human opponents in a barebones multiplayer mode, but otherwise, the most fun you'll have with V.I.P. Casino Blackjack is in watching Mr. Paradise slowly clap his hands like one of those cymbal-playing toy monkeys whenever he wins a hand.
