    Still the best 3D Mario game. This game is an absolute masterpiece from its gorgeous artstyle, phenomenal orchestrated soundtrack, to its stellar and innovative gameplay, it's one of the greatest video games ever made.

    Super Mario Galaxy feels like the true successor to Super Mario 64 for me. This game was such an amazing experience, and I feel like it's a must-play for fans of the series.

    How it has plenty of literary references, the way it becomes "mature" in terms of Mario style and the music and art direction show that videogames are, in fact, art.

And the graphics are the best on the Wii. I would give almost ANYTHING to play this game for the first time again.     THE GAME IS A 10/10. THE BEST MARIO GAME EVER MADE ALONG WITH SOUNDTRACK AND CREATIVITY!!! The game is so nostalgic for me from the times that I played on the Wii as a kid and played this game almost every single day! Good times and I miss those great days.

    We did not finish this game, but my wife and I had a remarkable time playing it. We did something so strange one night when we were inebriated, we decided to start this game and play it each holding one of the Wii controllers. We were newly married at the time and it was so fun to experience this game and its challenges with an unintended level of co-operative challenge.     Super Mario Galaxy has got to be one of the best games ever made. Everything about this game is amazing, whether it be the level design, gorgeous soundtrack, or just downright fun gameplay. The story is also the best I've ever seen in a Mario game. Definitely one of my favorites of all time.

There is also a plethora of content, as you don't need every star and complete every level to beat it, giving it a good post-game gameplay. On top of all of that, as soon as you 100% the game, it gives you the option to play Super Luigi Galaxy, where you play through the game again but modified with a different character and a different move set, with the levels being slightly modified. This game is a masterpiece and will always be, If you haven't played this, I recommend buying a Wii just for this.… Expand

This is platforming perfection; the anti-gravity mechanic allows for so much creativity in design and spectacle. This game does take a more linear approach to level design compared to its predecessors: Super Mario 64 & Super Mario Sunshine, which had more sandbox level design; but it's all forNot only is it the best Mario game ever made, it's also one of the greatest games of all-time. This is platforming perfection; the anti-gravity mechanic allows for so much creativity in design and spectacle. Super Mario Galaxy takes advantage of its linearity and makes gorgeous, creatively designed galaxies to explore.
    The soundtrack has some of the best music I've ever heard in a video game, or any media for that matter, this orchestra poured they're heart and soul into this game and it shows, even the non-orchestrated tracks are still great to listen to and fit their respective areas beautifully.
    The controls and physics are stiffer and tighter to fit the anti-gravity level design and feel really good to control! The controls were clearly designed around the Wii Remote and Nunchuk and feel fantastic! The amount of motion controls feel just right unlike some Wii games, you really feel aggravated by them, and they never really impact gameplay negatively except maybe for certain stages that require it.
    The story is also quite deep for a Mario game. It can be intense and action packed, but also somber and quiet. A certain storybook in the game is a real tearjerker and I recommend reading it when you play the game.
    Overall, Super Mario Galaxy is a masterpiece at platforming and atmosphere. It captures the vastness, loneliness, quietness, and vastness of space beautifully and I couldn't recommend it more. If you haven't played it already go do it. You won't regret it.    … Expand

    If you're buying a wii in 2023, or hell, if you dont own this game already, go out and play it. I dont care how, if you have bad FOMO, this is one of the best things you've been missing out on. I am unbiased, i first played this game on switch, and years after mario galaxy 2 (i got that in 2010 with my wii, missed out on smg1). I wish I had played this sooner. cheers!

    Best wii game ever ! I just finished it again with the 3D All Star collection on switch and damn. First of all, it’s the most beautiful game on the Wii. It uses the gravity perfectly, the planets and different environments are very well mannered

    People say that Mario games are at their best when they surprise you and I think Galaxy might be the exact reason why that view is shared by so many people. Never would anyone have expected a cinematic, orchestral epic featuring our favourite mustachioed plumber, but it is just as thrilling and enjoyable as the presentation suggests.

From the gorgeous art style and set design, to the beautiful and evocative soundtrack, to the masterful level design, to the story that has ACTUAL CHARACTERS (!!), this is a game that seems to pull emotion right out of you. It keeps the joyful feeling that the series is known for, but it doesn't shove it in your face like some other 3D gamesThis game is beautiful in every conceivable way. From the gorgeous art style and set design, to the beautiful and evocative soundtrack, to the masterful level design, to the story that has ACTUAL CHARACTERS (!!), this is a game that seems to pull emotion right out of you. It keeps the joyful feeling that the series is known for, but it doesn't shove it in your face like some other 3D games in the series (3D World, looking at you); the joy simply comes naturally, almost primally. But, that entire argument probably sounds very weird, so let's just gloss over that, shall we? Anyway, the game is very bombastic and dramatic, but it knows when to have its quiet moments. Super Mario Galaxy is truly a masterful experience in every way, and it is my favorite video game of all time.

    The visuals for a 2007 Wii game are still to this day outstanding. While the Switch port in Super Mario 3D All-Stars may be seen as cheating for some when talking visuals, playing on the original Wii disc, especially on a Wii U for HDMI, the game holds up remarkably well. The music is one of the best soundtracks ever composed, its beautiful orchestral melodies mixed with the galactic themes of the levels is a match made in heaven.

    The only thing people widely dislike about the game, the motion gimmick levels, barely make up 5 percent of all the levels in the game. Only 6 stars out of the game's 121 stars are the motion controlled levels, and they really are not that bad as long as you pretend the Wiimote or Joycon you're using is a joystick.

    Overall, this game is one of the greats, easily the best of both the Wii's library and Mario's entire catalog, and is a masterpiece on every front. I believe this is a game absolutely everyone should play.    … Expand

    Nintendo has made a big jump of quality with this game. Locations are various, and enemies too, but transformations are repetitive and too much limited about actions that you can do with them. The second part of the adventure, is really boring and disappointing, ruining the expierence and making more difficult to make the 100%

    Super Mario Galaxy! I grew up with this game so it's natural I am blind to nostigia. However, this Mario game has the best Mario 3d story out of all of them, it is such a fun game!

    This game has not aged a day, and it still looks and plays incredible! I honestly cannot find any fault in this game. If I wanted to be really critical, I could complain about the Wii's resolution, but that is just the fact it is on the Wii. This game holds to the test of time, and it absolutely will for generations to come!

    This is me coming back to this game as an adult now and it still holds up as the best game of all time in my book. The mechanics, gameplay, and story are still mind blowing to me. If you have not played this yet please go buy it you will not regret it

    One of the goats. This game is legendary. The platforming is perfect, the creativity unmatched, the fun unrivaled, the universe is beautiful. Mario’s power ups are ridiculous and addicting to play around with. This game is a master piece. If I had to give a flaw it’s the Wii controls but that’s the consoles fault. If you can play it on switch I’d recommend that!

The trial galaxies are fun but are over quickly and the purple coins are painstakingly annoying to get. The atmosphere and soundtrack are incredible but there are many instances of stars that just do not feel gratifying to collect because of how easy they are. I understand the team needed to do this to appeal to the casual audience of the Wii but for me the difficulty of the sequel was much better done.… Expand

    One of the best platforms ever created and my favourite Mario saga.
    The levels are incredible and the 3D platforming is taken to the next level with the use of gravity, seeing Mario floating between little planets is just amazing and so much fun!
    The only bad thing that i can say about this game is that the camera sometimes can be pretty frustrating to deal with.

    I watched my dad play this as a kid and played it as a kid, played it again when I was a teen and played it just earlier this year. One of the most charming and memorable video games I have ever played with it's phenomenal music, satisfying objectives, and universal enjoyability.

    So this game is still masterpiece to this day. The soundtrack is godly and in my opinion is only rigaled by Mario Odyssey and Super Paper Mario in terms of music. The presentation is stellar as well, especially for the wii. The levels are all mostly incredible. But im a bit disappointed by the fact that some galaxies are barely explored, or are really shallow.     The best aspect of this game is the platforming jungle from start to finish. There's so much variety, from the power-ups to the worlds to the biomes to the difficulty to the mechanics... there's just so much to do and it makes an amazing experience.     The other best aspect of the game is the magical vibe, with every world you explore giving a different vibe than the next. The emotion you feel is different and the music you get can either make you feel lonely but in awe, or it can leave you dancing along with penguins in a random snow mission.

    The only tiny gripe I have with this game is the lack of movement options there are compared to the rest of the Mario series. But the game is still fun, the game is still wondrous, and the game is still one of the best games ever released.    … Expand

It's no wonder why this game is often referred to as "the best mario game" or even "the best game ever." just everything about this game is amazing. the graphics are still great, the controls are just fantastic, the soundtrack is epic, and overall, this is a game that I can see myself playing for a long time.

Et en rentrant dans la première galaxie planète œuf le jeu révèle toute sa force, son univers. Le sentiment d'espace est très plaisant et bluffant, jusqu'à arriver au premier boss qui est originale. Pour moi le jeu atteint son paroxysme dans la galaxie poussière d'étoile qui est pour moi la meilleure galaxie du jeu avec son sentiment d'immensité et d'infini qui apporte une forme de mélancolie appuyé par la musique magistrale de ce niveau ce qui va m'emmener sur la deuxième force du jeu ses musiques.
    Les musiques dans ce jeu sont pour moi les meilleures musiques des jeux Mario. J'ai parlé précédemment de la musique de poussière d'étoile mais il y en a tant d'autre comme la musique de l'écran d'accueil, ou la musique de planètes oeufs. Ces musiques renforcent les sentiments de grandeur et d'immensité de ce jeu.
    Je voudrais m'attarder vite fait sur un autre plan crucial du jeu les boss. Pour moi ces boss sont les meilleures de tous les jeu Mario confondu (excepté les Browser), j'ai une préférence pour Poulpoboss et les Bowser junior.
    Pour conclure, Mario Galaxie est pour moi un des meilleurs jeu de tous les temps par son univers incroyable. J'ai une préférence pour le premier opus car il est pour moi plus magistrale que le deuxième. Bref Nintendo faite une suite s'il vous plait.    … Expand

    Great variety in level design, great for all ages. I found it nice when playing this game as a child that I didn't have to get every single star. I could skip a planet if it proved too difficult for my fetus mind.
