    Long time Homestar Runner fans will be pleased to see that all the major characters they've come to know (Marzipan, The Cheat, Coach Z, Pom Pom, etc.) are included along with many inside jokes.

    I found that the game’s humor and entertaining quest made it well worth the $10 investment ($8.95 for the PC). Like many adventure games, the replay value is not tremendously high, but the promise of future downloadable episodes helps to resolve this issue.

    SB:Ep1 is a mixed bag; it's funny, but can get old during a sustained playthrough, and it's got some neat puzzles, but they're presented in a disjointed, directionless way that'll have players doing things not because the story or characters dictate them, but simply due to odd item placement and situation setups that seem like they should be done just because.

    Great game, worth 10 bucks. I had to run into Roger's Video and buy tons of wii points to buy these games. Although it's graphics aren'tGreat game, worth 10 bucks. This would be perfectly acceptable if only the tasks felt redeeming. The story itself is disappointing. It's simply about one character (Marzipan) throwing a party and Strong Bad not getting invited. However, the humor is enough to make me want to see what's in Episode 2, so I'll see if that's any better.… Expand

    As a long time fan of Homestar Runner and Strong Bad, I had high hopes for this game. General reviews on Metacritic seemed to indicate that it was a good buy, too. Well, color me disappointed. I spent the entire time stumbling around the Homestar "universe" saying to myself "What am I supposed to be doing?" -- Granted, this game *is* sort of built in the style of the old Sierra games where you get things in your inventory and use basic reasoning to figure out what you're supposed to do. But I felt like those games always had a decent storyline/plot guiding you along. This game does not. Sure, you can crank up the Hints to "High", but even then, figuring things out was very trial-and-error and quite arduous. Not really what a game is supposed to be: Fun. Just to get thru this game, I had to reference a walk-thru many times. And each time, I said "Oh, that's what they want me to do? Wow, that's dumb." -- Now, that I've rained on this game completely, I have to say that it does have some redeeming value. It's mildly amusing to "live" in the Homestar universe and interact with the characters, but in the end, it's really not worth it. My recommendation: Skip this game.… Expand
