RomanTJul 20, 2009The graphics are outdated, the controls are clunky, the camera is annoying at times, but is it still one of the greatest survivor horror games of all time?! You betcha. Loved every minute of it and this classic will outlast all those Halos, Gears of War and GTAs for years to come.

Aug 14, 2023This re-release of the GameCube classic doesn't include any extra content or enhanced visuals. You can play with the Nunchuck/Wiimote, but there are no motion controls. It's too bad Nintendo didn't add anything new to this port. Still, it's worth owning for those that never played it on GameCube. The game itself is great. I would rate this version with an 8.5 out of 10.

Having multiple control options, not having to change out tiny discs midway through the game, and having better audio are definitely pluses, but I don’t think they are big enough improvements to merit picking up this title if you already own the GameCube version.

There's no doubting the quality of the game but veterans really won't be getting anything new here, so we can only recommend this to players who have yet to see where it all started. And even they might find the controls long past their sell by date.

Boasting an intense atmosphere, satisfying puzzles and nail-biting combat, it's a game that will linger long in the memory for those who succumb to its dark allure. If you missed out on this the first or even second time around, then now's the time to pick up a true classic - at the right price.
