A simple port of the GameCube game. You can use either a controller or the Wiimote/nunchuck. There are NO motion controls. The game itself is underrated. While item management may slow down the pace, "Zero" is still a solid RE entry. Also, despite being 20 years old, it still features impressive graphics. This is worth it for those that did not buy it on the GameCube. I would rate thisA simple port of the GameCube game. You can use either a controller or the Wiimote/nunchuck. I am big fan of RE, and of course I didn't miss this game. But i played an XBOX 360. I can say that the atmosphere in the game is really OLD SCHOOL, its really good. Very thoughtful and cool styled dialogues like CAPCOM's do, but is very short, and doesn't have many bonuses. А very big disappointment that there are two characters in the game, and one ending. The game came out weaker than the main series, but the charm of RE present. The game is more created for fans of the series, it will be difficult for beginners to understand the mechanics and understand the beauty of the series Expand

  1. In many ways, Resident Evil Zero provides a timely reminder of the things we miss about old style survival-horror. The heavy emphasis on puzzles, slower pace and the harrowing boss encounters make it feel more like a true horror adventure, and once you get to grips with its foibles it becomes strangely satisfying and rewarding.

When you couple the awkward tank controls with horrible item management, poor pacing and a lack of scares, you'll come to see that Resident Evil Zero is better left on store shelves.
  3. It's a pity Capcom hasn't optimised this for Wii, but this is a great chance to get reacquainted. [Jan 2010, p.70]
