This is a CASUAL game. For a CASUAL game, it provides good mini games and reminisces parts of Snap on the N64. If this game had more depth, it would be a better game. For a casual game it is quite good but by no means is this a good game for a game itself.

I was hoping that a game starring Pikachu would be pretty good one. instead, I played a fairly decent title. The story for the game is very simple. You never get any other twists or turns in the story, it remains the same as you go throughout the game. I do like playing games with simple stories, but this one feels a little too simple, since nothing else happens. the gameplay for this gameI was hoping that a game starring Pikachu would be pretty good one. instead, I played a fairly decent title. The story for the game is very simple. You never get any other twists or turns in the story, it remains the same as you go throughout the game. I do like playing games with simple stories, but this one feels a little too simple, since nothing else happens. the gameplay for this game I'll say is passable. this game has a heavy focus on its mini-games, so important Pokémon aspects, like battling, become such little things. this game really wants you to make new friends in the park and then use them in mini-games. I don't feel that this is natural for a Pokémon game, but I'll let it pass, since this is the first in a spin-off series. the control isn't all that good for the game. moving Pikachu around with the Wiimote sideways gets finicky at times, and I wish the game could have supported other controller options. the soundtrack is ok at best. most tunes are easily forgettable, and even then, each tune ranges from decent to mediocre. the graphics are actually pretty good. each character looks like they've been ripped from the anime into the game, and even has its anime voice actors(who also do a good job). My complaints with the game is repetitiveness, dialogue, and its difficulty. the dialogue can be a bit confusing sometimes, and even in a few cases there are typos in the dialogue, some not even fixed yet. as for repetitiveness, I'm mainly talking about the mini-games that occur when getting new friends. you have to either play tag with them, hide and seek, or battle them. as much as I love to battle in the game, it gets repetitive very easy, as there are about 100 friends to befriend here, and to do these mini-games about 33 times each, no thanks. Lastly, I felt that the game was way too easy. Nintendo obviously wanted to appeal to casual gamers, and that's very evident I this game. Pokémon games should be able to keep their simple nature while giving challenge once in a while. Overall, PokePark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure is a decent game. its simple nature and gameplay can be great for casual gamers, but its difficulty and repetitiveness can be a shut-off to some Pokémon fans. I can't lie, when I first heard about this game when I was just 12 years old, my little kid mind was absolutely blown. Even if it was just a minigame collection, this game looked too adorable and fun for me to miss out on! A "Pokémon" game with Pikachu as the star that played more like an action-adventure game than the gimmicky "Hey You, Pikachu!" and...whatever the hell "Pokémon Channel" was? I was all for it! And, while I've learned over the years that "Poképark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure" didn't end up becoming an all-time classic, I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a ton of fun with it.
"Poképark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure" is a really adorable little game: visually, the game is vibrant and colorful, and the environments in the game all look quite nice. The minigames are simple, but quite fun, and being able to actually run around and play with Pikachu and his friends is quite nice. It's also fun seeing such a large cast of Pokémon in the game and, while the story might be pretty childish, it's serviceable for the audience that it's geared towards: kids.
Still, the game does have a few flaws that are worth mentioning: for starters, the game isn't terribly exciting, and there are quite a few points where it feels pretty empty. On top of that, the game's controls can be a bit frustrating to deal with (combine Pikachu's crazy turning with the game's lackluster camera controls and you've got some problems on your hands), and while the game isn't all that long, it does kind of feel like it overstays its welcome because there are a few too many instances of padding thrown at you throughout the course of the game. There are several sections in the game that feel like they could've easily been chopped down to keep the game from becoming a slight bore.
Even so, "Poképark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure," while not redefining the entire Pokémon series, is still a solid, fun little action-adventure game that will please the younger kids and might even surprise older, hardcore "Pokémon" fans. It's not the greatest thing you'll ever play, but there's certainly fun to be had with "Poképark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure."

It's a really good game for kids, I won't lie. But like I said, it's for kids. The plot is basically you solving problems that never really show themselves in meaningful ways. Playing through this game, I never felt an urgent need to go and save Pokepark because the game was so laidback I tended to forget what my goal was. The attractions are undeniably fun, but their implementation into the story is awkward and somewhat clumsy, and speaking of, there isn't much story at all. The gameplay is very nice, easy for kids to pick up and simple enough to understand fully. The world you explore is beautiful and expansive, just what you'd expect of a park populated entirely by Pokemon. Overall, it's a solid game held back by the lack of real atmosphere and motivation. It's a very cute game but there's no depth to it at all. It has some great ideas that even seem kind of revolutionary (for Pokemon as a series) in hindsight. It's basically a semi-open world, fully 3D Pokemon game with real time fighting and even some platforming elements. Remember this came out back in 2010. Unfortunately it's basically a glorified mini game collection with a simple story added on. That's not really a bad thing in theory but the mini games are very simplistic and things get repetitive very quickly. Same with the battling. Running around in the overworld and talking to other Pokemon is very fun at first but it also gets tiring quickly.

There are some wonderful ideas in this game but they're implemented very shallowly. I understand the game is for young children but I feel like even they'd get bored quickly. It's fun to just play for a short while very VERY casually and then put down. Just something nice to relax with as opposed to trying to beat in one sitting or even fully complete. Just a cute little romp when you're having a bad day.

The game is based about making friends playing with other pokemon. There are 3 types of games that increase their difficulty and Minigames that are kinda hard to beat at the least challenges. Explorations are completely absent even if it's such an open world and there are no puzzles, making the map void of extra things to do when the story is over.

Poképark Wii is an entertaining game for every fan of the pokemon series, but too unambitious for other players that aren't related to Pokémon.

With fun motion-control based mini-games, up to 193 Pokemon to befriend, lots of areas to explore and leveling up to do, Pikachu's Adventure offers a lot of content.

For what it is, PokéPark Wii is an endearing little game that is sure to incite nostalgia in longtime fans of the series.
