  1. I never expected shooting loads of foam darts would be such fun. NERF could have been a run of the mill on the rails shooter but the inclusion of loads of varied game styles make this a winner for the whole family.
  2. A decent blast for younger gamers and we like that NERF gun!

The toy inside the box seems to be the winner in this bundle pack – the gun is a much better gun than the Wii game is a game, but the software isn’t all that bad either.
  4. Adults will probably grow bored within an hour, and paying $59.99 for the bundle (with no option to purchase the game by itself) feels expensive, but N-Strike will appeal to kiddies as well as parents who don't want their children firing real darts in their homes.
  5. Targeted at the younger set, this game is about as non-violent as a shooting game can get. One of the better Wii controller setups we have used. The game is a poor substitute for a real Nerf war.
  6. Nerf N-Strike is a finished product with a handful of nice, little minigames. The game is intended for the youngest among gamers and will probably be appealing enough for this particular audience. And besides that, is pretty fun to shoot at people with the included Nerf gun.

A neat package for Nerf fans, but it doesn't have the looks or lustre to score high. [Apr 2009, p.62]

    A bit dull. [Apr 2009, p.68]
  9. Nerf N-Strike brings you all the action of the real NERF gun with a 3D shoot'em up on rails dedicated to the younger audience and everybody who wants to play a clean, simple and futuristic game.
  10. NERF N-Strike delivers fun suited especially for children. On rail shooters usually come with an exhilarating kind of violence which doesn't allow teen rating, and a title offering the same experience blood-free is surely welcome. Graphics aren't state of the art, and enemies models are repetitive, but young players will have fun for a while with the included custom NERF gun. Older player already have much to choose from in this genre, so buy it for your kids.
  11. Nerf N-Strike is a pretty game to enhance your accuracy. For the older gamer there is nothing more, because this game is more a House of the Dead for kids. The greatest Highlight is the Blaster.

Nerf N-Strike has a great idea, but playing is not so fun. The biggest problem is lack of zombies. Best part of the whole package is the gun itself.
  13. A shooting game for the Wii aimed at a younger audience and based on the joy of toy guns does sound like a match made in heaven. Unfortunately this is a prime example of an interesting concept hampered by poor execution. Initially you've got access to a number of mini games, some good, some bad. When you master these you unlock harder versions of these mini games. The gun that ships with the game works well, but the overall experience is too bland an uninspiring to be recommended to anyone.

Yeah, this game just isn't fun, even for the nerf-obsessed kid I was when I played it.

A shooter for younger kids, while I can see how younger kids could enjoy this and parents approve the game It was pretty underwhelming. TheA shooter for younger kids, while I can see how younger kids could enjoy this and parents approve the game It was pretty underwhelming. The whole game you are shooting darts at blocks and robots, and I was never a fan of on rail fps'. You can basically call this a Minigame playing game. The story mode isn't all that exciting either. You still play mini games and once you beat every chamber you fight the boss... Well that's what the game said, basically what you do is play a mini game and beat the other persons score. No shooting each other. Full Review »
