With record breaking as the foundation and a strong selection of fun mini-games to play, a well as leaderboards and multiplayer games, Guinness World Records: The Videogame is an excellent party game.
-
This is a fun Christmas game that, just like the book will be used for a while and forgotten about by Easter.
-
More polished and personality-laden than many other third parties' minigame collections on Wii, this title is actually solid fun for solo players and groups alike.
-
Games Master UKEach of the 36 games uses the Wiimote in a different in a different way so Guinness World Records feels like "WarioWare" to play. [Feb 2009, p.86]

Official Nintendo Magazine UKIf you can stomach one more go on the mini-go-round, you could do much worse than this. [Jan 2009, p.99]
-
The Guinness Book of World Records seems like an odd choice for a license to transform into a video game, but the team at TT Games has done a fine job at doing just that -- this mini-game collection is more fun and approachable than the bulk of other similar titles seen recently on the DS and Wii, and gets the critical aspect of play control just right in both editions.
-
The best mini-game collection we've played on the Wii.
-
There's nothing groundbreaking here, but it's gross, fun and perhaps best saved for the kiddies.
-
The lack of identity and direction is unfulfilling, and while a select group of mini-games are entertaining and original, many of them feel generic and bland. But in the end, it's the lack of simultaneous multiplayer that makes the game nearly pointless.
-
Guinness World Records the Video Game isn’t a bad game, but in a market with so many other “party” type games available like Raving Rabbids and Mario Party, there really needs to be more done in order to make this game stand out.
-
The music is annoyingly repetitive, but the sound effects are pretty well put together.
-
Nintendo GamerUninspired controls. [Jan 2009, p.70]
