As most of the reviews above state, FIFA 10 on the Wii has gone backwards in time to an old fashion arcade style, reminiscent of games from the early 90

It has a lack of depth and gamemodes, but it's fun to play, if you don't expect a simulation.

Graphically and overall, the game is fine. The refs are awful tho, u slide in and if you don't get the full ball you are sent off. It also is too easy to score with routine 5,6,7 goal thrillers and the keeper ai is stupid. Also to note, the "new" battle for glory Mode is decent and the rest of the modes are just good all round fifa stables

  1. The arcadey approach is an interesting diversion for the series and one that just about pays off. [Nov 2009, p.80]
  2. FIFA 10, like the other games on the franchise, is a fair bet on the essence of football. There are few changes in this edition - more shooting score opportunities, a better placed goalkeeper and a few more low-profile changes. It's enough to justify the buy if you like arcade football, but you should stick with last year's edition if you have it already.

The sleeping giant of the FIFA kingdom roars into life, but it's still an all-format minnow. [Nov 2009, p.66]
