I don't think Donkey Kong Country Returns is that good of a game for many reasons being the controls, the cheap deaths, the over use of motion controls, and many other reasons. But it isn't that bad the game can control well sometimes and the art style is really good I just hope Retro Studios does better on the next game.

If you're into CBT as the developers are, you'll love this game. If you like this game but don't know what CBT is, google it and thank me later for expanding your horizons.

If you're a normal, sane-minded person like I am, you'll stay the f away from this game since this game equates to 0% fun and 100% torture. The controls are completely stupid, why couldn't roll be on a button instead

The controls are completely stupid, why couldn't roll be on a button instead of the same motion control bs like stomping?! Why is the hitbox this fn trash that when you try to grab an item, the pixels of your hair won't count when it comes to collecting it, but god forbid your fart touched the 1 million death traps all around then you're instantly dead.

Seriously stay away from this game, you brain and your nerves will thank you in the long run. If you didn't heed my warning, let's just say, it's not my fault you got Parkinson's.

Edit: Beat the game with 100%, Golden Temple was alright, but world 8 is the biggest scam I've ever seen in video game history (especially 8-3 and 8-4, for whomever gives this game a 10/10 after those 2 levels - seriously go get lobotomized). All in all the game is trash and pure frustration.

To the developers: hope you burn in hell, you sadistic f

The controls are the big problem here, there too sluggish. The graphics are sweet but the controls will get you in the end and you will end up getting killed more times than you can count.

This game was sooooooooooo easy, which really annoys me when play these 2-D comeback games. I like a challenge when playing platformers. In DKC returns I breezed through the entire first world without a single death. The coop feature was half-assed and the gameplay was boring. It doesn't come close to the old DKC games.

What a thoroughly average game. It's just like the SNES Donkey Kong Country games with higher res graphics, except no longer novel or original. It's even average within its genre (of 2D platforming) within its console (Wii).

It doesn't have the co-operative 4-player play of New Super Mario Bros Wii or Rayman: Origins, and it doesn't have the hand-drawn gorgeous cartoon look of Rayman:

It's also all the worse (thus below average) for forcing you to shake the wiimote as an input command, which is unacceptable in a twitch platformer. At least Rayman: Origins let you use a Gamecube controller.

It's sorta fun, but there are much better games (Rayman, NSMB) for the Wii you should be spending your time on if you love 2D platforming.

Easily the worst game I played. The game is controller breaking difficult that it isn’t fun, motion controls, and nothing happens. The game goes at a snails pace, that makes the game take forever. I only just recently finished this trash bin, and I regret every second. If you’re looking for a good Wii game, just buy shovelware. People say they all suck, but at least it’s a better time.

Pessimo ritorno per la serie Country, con livelli poco ispirati, musiche dimenticabili e nemici troppo generici in forma di animali arrabbiati. Fans of classic 2D games, or the original DKC games, owe it to themselves to pick up this amazing return to the franchise. The difficulty is the one area that may throw some gamers for a loop, but with the ability to let the game play itself it becomes a non-issue.

In the end Donkey Kong Country Returns is, in my opinion, a long awaited return to a franchise that needed updating. Fear not, DK fans, this title is for you.
