Although the core gameplay is built around a solid base of exploration, puzzle-solving, and combat, Meet the Robinsons suffers in some technical areas that become especially noticeable when the action heats up. [May 2007, p.85]

A solid effort, lacks some of the overall polish of games with a higher budget and longer development time, but it fulfills its goal of tying the film world to an interactive medium; an exact definition to what we consider a “good” game.
  3. While Meet the Robinsons is nothing revolutionary, it does provide an enjoyable experience all the way around. If you are the type of gamer that loves platform games and loves the movie sub-genre just as much, then this game was designed with you in mind.
  4. Disney's Meet the Robinsons gameplay is nothing that you haven’t seen in many other third person action games. You will do all the normal tasks that you have done millions of times in other games with very little variation. The camera needs some serious work as well.

The kiddies will enjoy seeing more Robinsons goofiness, and you won't mind picking up the controller to help them through the occasional tough part. Just try not to get too frustrated with those darn Wii Remote controls.
  6. Disney's Meet the Robinsons is a fairly satisfying movie tie-in that borrows heavily from a number of classic adventure and action games.

If you must pick up this title because of a significant other, then buy another version. I can’t guarantee the controls will be better, but you’ll save a few bucks and the GCN version does play on the Wii as well.
  8. Despite the clumsy controls and a tendency to keep throwing the same bits at you over and over (and over) again, this is recommended to all. [June 2007, p.46]
  9. If you can ignore the bad voice work, repetitive gameplay and sub par controls (we're asking a lot, we know), then you should consider this.

Taking out the trash, I kid you not: 30 minutes of mundane pre-scripted yawn inducing tedium. They even mark where to go to on the map. [May 2007, p.65]

When compared to the rest of the gaming world, Meet The Robinsons is merely a slightly above average title that copies more than it innovates.
