Official Nintendo Magazine UKFans of dancing games won't be disappointed. [June 2008, p.74]
-
Not only is Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Party the first traditional DDR game to hit a Nintendo platform, it also may be the best version on any platform yet. It's incredibly refreshing to see a new incarnation of this game have such a great set of new modes to go along with the tried and true.

Pelit (Finland)Dancing Stage Hottest Party has some nice handtricks, special arrows and amusing discohits. Too bad the game modes are a bit on the slim side. [May 2008]

Nintendo PowerDance Dance Revolution has been luring gamers off their sofas for years, making the franchise a perfect hit for Wii fans. [Nov 2007, p.105]
-
While the game keeps its proverbial foot-tapping format, players must also wave their arms using the remote and nunchuk. New gimmick icons also enhance the gameplay, particularly the frozen arrows (which require two successful foot stomps) and confusion blocks.
-
I think it had some great additions, but the grading was discouraging because it seemed to be a little harsh.
-
As a Nintendo gamer I am glad that this Nintendo system has earned itself a ‘true’ Dance Dance Revolution game, even if I was a bit disappointed with the Wii specific controls which I disable every time I turn the game back on (I am not sure why the game was designed to not save that setting).
-
Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party is a solid entry in the series and a great place for the uninitiated to jump in.
