Jan 12, 2011Its addictiveness is in its simplicity, and it's quite likely that you'll come back for 'one more go' again and again.
-
Jan 3, 2011With is multiplayer mode and its well-balanced gameplay, chick chick BOOM! offers a enjoyable WiiWare experience. Graphics and controls are good. Much like the visuals, the music and sound effects are unique and funny.
-
Official Nintendo Magazine UKJan 1, 2011Very much designed to be played by two or four players, this isn't worth it if you're solo. [Christmas 2010, p.94]
-
Dec 28, 2010It's easy to start and has a surprising amount of depth.
-
Dec 28, 2010It was a pretty simple game before, but tons of bits has turned chick chick BOOM into a very hectic and enjoyable download title.
-
Feb 21, 2011The back-and-forth action has notable depth, with various special attacks, healing, defense sabotaging, and unlockables, but it lacks a strong initial hook to grab players and make them stick around to see that the depth is there.
-
Jan 31, 2011While I wish for more variety in the maps, overall chick chick BOOM is entertaining and rather addictive. For only 800 Wii points, it's hard not to recommend if you're having some friends over who are entertained by cartoon explosions.
-
Jan 14, 2011It's frantic, it has moments of hilarity, and it's just plain fun. And although variety isn't one of chick chick BOOM's strong points, it's still one heck of a download, and an easy recommendation.

Apr 2, 2011Featuring a cute artsy style, cartoon-like in its appearance and with sharp, colourful and detailed vista's, chick, chick, BOOM! Is a party-game worth picking up for the Wii. Purely because it does what it sets out to do, and does this wonderfully. It doesn't aim to reinvent the wheel, but what it does give you is refined and simply 'pure-unadulterated fun' and that is what you want when you want to have a quick game when you have friends round. But if you are a 'solo-player', it also has quite a bit for you to do too!
-
Jan 3, 2011chick chick BOOM is fast and furious at the outset but slows down way too soon and way too abruptly. It's fun if a bit lacking. But hey, you get to murder baby chickens, so that's gotta count for something, right?

Dec 28, 2010Quotation forthcoming.
-
Dec 22, 2010While it's undoubtedly fun for a few rounds, developer Tons of Bits' debut WiiWare effort feels like it lacks a little substance to make it worthy over the longer haul.
-
Jan 24, 2011A lot of thought and creativity went into the creation of this title. For a first time effort, it impresses.
-
Mar 7, 2011chick chick BOOM does a lot of things right. It looks and sounds polished and attractive and the core mechanics have promise. It feels like it deserves better. But comparisons with luminary artillery games are foolish; there are too many imperfections to leave them unmentioned and any multiplayer game that leaves you celebrating the end for the end's sake is a failure. chick chick BOOM could have, should have been so much more: a tremendous shame that it is not.
