Jan 18, 2011This is one of the best games on the Wii and arguably the best first-person shooter made for the console.
-
Dec 20, 2010The Wii edition of Call of Duty: Black Ops is by no means the inferior product many thought it would turn out to be.
-
Nov 21, 2010This game is not only a must for previous fans of Call of Duty on the Wii, but for any serious gamer who wants to see exactly what the Wii can do if a developer really pushes the hardware.
-
Nov 18, 2010Thanks to an excessively robust feature suite and developers not treating the console with kid gloves, you're not going to find a finer online multiplayer shooter on Wii than Call of Duty: Black Ops.
-
Nov 15, 2010Black Ops's on Wii very much the same that we will find on the X360/PS3/PC versions, meaning: an entertaining game with an outstading script. It's an amazing experience for the owners of this platform, no matter if it looks better or not than in other consoles.
-
Nov 12, 2010Call of Duty: Black Ops offers an engrossing campaign and the most feature-rich competitive multiplayer on the Wii.
-
Nov 9, 2010Black Ops on Wii is a fantastic shooter packed with all the features of its HD brothers, with the only exception being split-screen multiplayer.

Nintendo GamerFeb 6, 2011Few games offer value for money like this. [Christmas 2010, p.50]
-
Dec 10, 2010With a short but intense single player campaign, Zombie Mode with online co-op, fourteen multiplayer maps, a brand new credits system to unlock new weapons, customizable controls and even support for the Classic Controller, Call of Duty: Black Ops is definitely the best episode of the series ever made for Nintendo Wii.
-
Nov 23, 2010Quotation forthcoming.
-
Dec 10, 2010It doesn't look nearly as good as it's next generation brothers, but other than the visuals, very little has been lost in the translation to the Wii.
-
Nov 16, 2010The single player game has its high points, but it's an inconsistent facsimile of its HD counterparts. Meanwhile, the multiplayer is a huge step forward for the platform despite the absence of a few features. Call of Duty: Black Ops delivers the Wii's best online experience yet.
-
Dec 17, 2010Call of Duty: Black Ops is the best episode of the series ever made for Nintendo Wii.
-
Jan 24, 2011Even with some mistakes, it's clear that Treyarch is no longer a supporting role in Call of Duty.
-
Feb 7, 2011Some hardware limitations and online issues keep it from being the ideal experience many fans crave, but the plethora of control methods along with the enjoyable gameplay and captivating story make it a game that people must try at least once.
-
Nov 19, 2010I would have to say that even with its shortcomings, the Wii version of Call of Duty: Black Ops is a great game that will provide hours of play, particularly online.
-
Nov 19, 2010If you prefer playing First Person Shooters with pointer controls and you don't have a hang up about playing games that look like they could run on the PS2, then this Wii port is the way to go.
-
Dec 1, 2010Call of Duty: Black Ops on Wii features an amazing amount of high-octane action and content.
-
Nov 19, 2010Call of Duty: Black Ops for Nintendo Wii retains its HD counterparts' qualities and demerits. The gameplay is not something particularly elaborated, as the production's best values reside in the entertaining direction, but this element is partially hampered by Wii's lack of power. The multiplayer instead is quite good, and rewarding for those who prefer this type of experience; others, who focus on single player, should be better off looking somewhere else but, luckily enough, not so far.
-
Nov 11, 2010The story is the best I've ever seen from a Call of Duty game. The multiplayer and single-player are solid on Wii, but the lack of zombie content is a real bummer.
-
Dec 16, 2010But this game is an epic fail start to finish. It's storyline is terrible, the graphics are mediocre at best, the voice acting ranges from bad to worse (with Oldman the lone actor who must have used his imagination while recording his lines), the Wii's native controls aren't exactly cut out for this kind of rapid action, there's little to no reason given as to why to play the game (which isn't very fun), and the in-game cut scenes are terrible.
-
Nov 17, 2010It's impressive how much content Treyarch managed to cram onto this Wii disc, but it's by no means the way to experience Black Ops. The campaign is well-paced, and the multiplayer is packed with features that can keep you coming back if you can get over the less-precise controls. If you have a choice, however, this version is not the one to play.
-
Dec 16, 2010As much as I want to commend Treyarch for essentially reducing Black Ops to fit on the Wii, it's impossible to engage with the game when so much of what's been lost is absolutely crucial to the overall experience.
-
Nov 17, 2010Is it as good as the console versions? No, and the audio problems make this a hard game to recommend if you're interested in the story. Plus, even if the controls are great for a Wii game, they're still not as good as a regular controller.
-
Jan 18, 2011Unless you're desperate for CoD and only own a Wii, pass on Black Ops or get it for a different console. Discerning Wii owners looking for a good FPS should get GoldenEye, and start saving for Conduit 2.
