Batman: The Brave and the Bold is a pretty cool videogame. The 2-player-coop and the call-in-heroes are really entertaining but the missing variety lowers the overall score.
-
Oct 24, 2010One of the most fun arcade games available for the Wii. The Brave and the Bold has fast action sequences, a big arsenal of weapons and unique moves for each superhero. The game pushes you to play on thanks to the open gameplay and humor, and the hand-drawn stop motion animation looks fantastic. The game is on the short side though and once you've finished it, there's nothing to come back to.
-
Batman: The Brave and the Bold is a tribute to the beloved animated series. A game to please gamers young and old.
-
Nintendo PowerDoes a decent job of punching monotony in the face. [Nov 2010, p.89]
-
As far as good looks and presentation are concerned, Batman: The Brave and the Bold is a fine game, but it's way too simple and easy to appeal to an experienced audience.
-
A great sense of humor and flashy style make the Caped Crusader's latest adventure entertaining, despite the lack of challenge.
-
Nice, interesting and fun, but not enough to be a top 10 of Wii's game catalog. WayForward's latest work's nothing more than an entertaining beat 'em up, with a great use of its comic-style.
-
Batman: The Brave and the Bold is easy for young crusaders to get into and feel like a champ while providing just enough depth for older players to get a bat-kick out of it.
-
In the end, Batman: The Brave and the Bold is all about simple, uncomplicated fun, and it makes no pretence of being otherwise.
-
Genuine laughs and amusing scenarios await within, and if you can keep in mind that you're probably several times older than the target audience, it's a pretty solid option for co-op with your kid sibling -- or a drinking buddy, for that matter.
-
If The Brave and the Bold was a downloadable title I would buy it in an instant. But it's a full $40 game. There's a lot of flair and style with The Brave and the Bold, but it's a pretty mindless affair, even for a kids' game.
-
Batman: The Brave and The Bold is a comic and cartoon-based game for Nintendo Wii. It features a vintage style that perfectly fits the spirit of the old-style Dark Knight, but the gameplay lacks in variety and depth.
-
Batman: the Brave and the Bold, is not a bad game, thanks to its genuinely funny gameplay and an extremely well made technical compartment, but it's hampered by a scarce difficulty level. It might have been an attractive product, but as it is it's only advisable for the Dark Knight's die hard fans.

Games Master UKDec 25, 2010The emphasis is on easy enjoyment. Never mind if you die - coins will bring you back. [Issue#232, p.94]
-
Oct 26, 2010The Brave and the Bold is a classic 2D beat 'em up that doesn't take itself too seriously. A graphical candy that will come to an end too soon and in the easiest way possible.
-
Quotation forthcoming.
-
Although it's by no means the deepest gaming experience you'll have on the Wii, The Brave and the Bold is still worth checking out, even if it's just a rental.
-
So while there are several high moments, they are few and far between.
-
It's a gift for fans of the show, but in terms of repetition and combat this is just a little too similar to the 16-bit games it seeks to pay homage to.
