The LEGO Movie VideoGame seems like a bit of a step back for the series but that is actually good

    + Character roster
    + Story Mode
    + Movie cut scenes
    + Dialogue

    - Character movement
    - Few open world locations

It's fine. It's pretty middle-of-the-road as far as Lego games go. But I got stuck more times in this game (due to glitches or confusing puzzles) than in any other Lego title. It just wasn't compelling enough to finish. Also, like all Lego games, the Wii U version ultimately has some performance issues that you won't find in the PS4 or XBone version.

Filled with the series familiar and fun mechanics, The LEGO Movie Videogame is enjoyable for series fans, but ultimately doesn't live up to the fantastic games that have come before it, and once again goes to show that TT does its best work when left to craft original stories instead of adapting existing properties.

Players of any age will appreciate the charm and effort TT Games put in to the title, balancing accessibility with small challenges.
