    ASM2 is still a good game at its core, with some improvements over the original, but they really botched the Hero/Menace element.

    The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is fun, but flawed. It doesn’t deliver a very unique experience, nor does it at all deliver a faithful adaptation of the film it’s supposed to be based on. But as a longtime Spider-Man fan, I still had a really good time with it.

    The Amazing Spider-Man 2 adds too many half-baked ideas to the original game's elegant framework. The result is a game that is half good, half frustrating, and all tedious. Just about every good idea in this game is held back by something that isn't quite finished or just plain doesn't work.

    Beenox sure is trying to do well by the character, but it's becoming evident that the studio needs a rest from being the only one churning out Spider-Man titles on a sort-of-annual basis.

    Is this game as good as the last one? Unfortunately, no, and I can say why for a number of reasons. Firstly, while the graphics are good, theIs this game as good as the last one? Unfortunately, no, and I can say why for a number of reasons. Firstly, while the graphics are good, the pop-in is dreadful and frequent (though buildings thankfully remain untextured for only a fraction of a second). I have mixed feelings about the Hero or Menace system. On paper, it sounds unique but it falls just short in the fact that there is no real incentive to stay in the Hero bar unless you just want the in-game Task Forces off your back. It would have been far more innovative to create multiple endings and tie it in with this system, say getting a bad ending if you're too far into the Menace bar.

    The story, while interesting, is sadly convoluted for the same reason people say Spider-Man 3 is: there's too many villains. There's Shocker, Kingpin, Black Cat, Kraven, the Green Goblin, Electro, and Carnage. Had they removed Electro and Green Goblin by perhaps making this game take place after the film, there would be more time to focus on the other villains and develop them better (maybe even have multiple battles with them). However, there is still much to enjoy in this game. Despite what I just said about there being too many villains, it was still nice to see them all, Kraven and Carnage in particular (as well as another brilliant cameo from Stan Lee himself). Like most Spider-Man games, there's a lot to unlock from audio recordings to readable comics to (best of all) alternate costumes. These new games based on the new films can also be credited for combining two elements from Shattered Dimensions: stylish combat and interesting stealth segments.

    There's always something else for you to do in the game, and while I would give the game more like a 7.5 if the rating system let you give decimal scores, I still think this game is worth playing at some point. Maybe after a price drop or if you find a used copy. Just don't go into it expecting the next Arkham City.    … Full Review »

    Fun game on your first playthrough, but very tedious, you will not want to play this game more than once, mostly because you would have toFun game on your first playthrough, but very tedious, you will not want to play this game more than once, mostly because you would have to constantly do side missions, which would be okay, if they did not have openings and closings each time, which take time, can usually not be skipped, and get old fast, if this was removed, the game would be significantly better, I do not recommend this game. it gets old fast, and very tedious after you beat the main story, which is not that good to begin with.… Full Review »

Combat Is Sadly Just Press Y And Sometimes X And Mabey Just A pinch press A. The Story Is A Pile A Donkey Doodoo. Wallcrawling is Ok But Its Better To Wall run. Unlockable Costumes Are Fun But Without Owning The DLC, You Are Missing,The Black Symbiote Suit,Iron Spider,Noir Suit,Future Foundation Suit,Ends Of The Earth Suit And Some more. But To Make Things Worse The Wiiu Version Do se Not Even Have Or Ever Got The DLC. But I Must Say That Again, The Webswinging Is Very But And Especially With The Web Rush You Go SO FAST! Boss Battles Are Very Fun. So Overall The Amazing Spider-Man 2 PC Gets A 9/10 As Of September 13 2022.
