I was very excited for this title and bought it immediately, when after months of delays it, finally released. It's been a complete disappointment. The graphics and music are decent, not really what I play strategy titles for, but the gameplay is shallow, slow paced, and awkward. Modern board game design greatly de-emphasises the importance of dice rolls in favour of systems that are more predictable and strategic, and I've got to say that I much prefer this brave new world of strategy over luck that we have in our board games now.

Space Hulk is presented as a videogame version of the board game that carries the same name, which is both a blessing and a curse. If its campaign mode can offer a long experience and the Wii U's GamePad is adequately used to interact with the game, its shallow gameplay does not captivate those looking for a good strategy game.

All said, Space Hulk is a fun game with some strong points, but it might not find the audience it's after on Nintendo's console.
