Nintendo Force MagazineNov 7, 2016The game is a joy even without engaging in the Imaginators part. [Issue #24 – November/December 2016, p.20M]

Jan 4, 2017While the Wii U version is undoubtedly inferior to the PS4 and Xbox One offerings in terms of presentation, there's no denying that the Skylanders Imaginators offers a lot of value thanks to its character creation mode. While some might argue that this focus on virtual creatures goes against the tactile experience so beloved of toys to life players, it's an interesting new direction for a series which needed a change to maintain consumer interest. If you're a long-standing follower of Skylanders then you'll find a lot to like here.

Dec 8, 2016All in all, Skylanders: Imaginators offers a ton of content, regardless of how many accessories players choose to purchase. At its worst, the title can sometimes exemplify the greediest excesses of the toys-to-life craze, but long-time fans will still find plenty to offer, as well. Toys-to-life fans and those who love creating custom characters will find a lot to enjoy, but newcomers on a fixed budget may want to look elsewhere.

Oct 12, 2016The recurring hitches and long load times combined with the subpar graphics make this entry a poor one for Nintendo fans.

Nov 8, 2016Skylanders Imaginators pursues the legacy of its predecessors and is a fun, simple and visually rich action-platformer that makes use of action figures to interact in the game. It could have been more generous, given how much of its contents require owning all the figures, which will weigh heavily on the players' budgets, but the game also allows some margin to finish its main plot without the need to overspend.
