Jan 9, 2014Fans of frantic action and beat 'em up style fighting will be overawed by how intense Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge is.
-
Pelit (Finland)Feb 21, 2013Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge is the game Ninja Gaiden 3 should have been a year ago. Still not perfect, but at least now it's an enjoyable experience rather than a painful one. [Feb 2013]
-
Feb 18, 2013Unfortunately the camera is still poor, however Team Ninja solved some of the problems of Ninja Gaiden 3 (PS3/Xbox360). The touchscreen is not really integrated, but the game is challenging with fast action fights and a lot of virtual blood. If you like that, then Ninja Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge is your game.
-
Nov 26, 2012In short, if you're looking for a hardcore Ninja Gaiden experience from Ninja Gaiden 3, complete with ridiculous bloodletting and a very challenging difficulty, this Wii U version is your game. However, the inconsistent difficulty and poor camera hamper the experience, somewhat.
-
Nov 25, 2012Despite the extreme difficulty, though, I never got to the point of wanting to quit. The game is tough, but fair, and the frequent checkpoints prevent frustration. While it doesn't make much use of Wii U-specific features, Razor's Edge should satisfy if you're in the mood for a challenge.
-
Nov 21, 2012A standout effort as Wii U launch titles go, but it's also a welcome improvement to a game that sorely needed a kick. Team Ninja heard the complaints about Ninja Gaiden 3 and came back with an exceptional revision in Razor's Edge, one that lives up to the high standards set by other games in the series, reinvigorating its combat with fresh variety and a real challenge.
-
Feb 19, 2013Razor's Edge is not the old Ninja Gaiden 3. With revamped gameplay mechanics, a new character and a set of new weapons, this iteration is how the original game had to be.
-
Jan 13, 2013This is what Ninja Gaiden 3 should have been when it was first released. Tecmo and Team Ninja have listened to their fans and offered a great game, but it's still far from perfect. If you're going to play the game, make sure you play this version.
-
Jan 9, 2013Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge is not perfect, but it's a great sign for the Wii U as a core gamer's platform.
-
Dec 3, 2012Perhaps the biggest perk to the Wii U version of Ninja Gaiden 3 is the addition of Dead or Alive's Ayane. In the last few NG titles, Ayane made a couple of cameo appearances, but on the Wii U, players can take control of the Dead or Alive mistress in her very own mini-campaign.
-
Nov 13, 2012It's far from perfect and best viewed with "launch goggles" on, but Razor's Edge's unflinching action and unabashed violence is a great sign for the Wii U as a core gamer's platform.
-
Games Master UKFeb 9, 2013A welcome injection of brutality, but Ryu still isn't on top of his game. [March 2013, p.86]
-
Jan 14, 2013Ninja Gaiden 3 is a guilty pleasure. A incredible and sensational mix of wondrous katana fighting, flying limbs and exaggerated finishing moves are waiting for you. Fans of the series will find the game a tad disappointing due to the worthless story and the - in comparison to the other games in the series - way too easy fights. If all you're looking for is a good, but not too deep fighting mechanism then Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge will satisfy your needs.
-
Jan 14, 2013Team Ninja has tried to minimize the flaws of Ninja Gaiden 3 with a much better porting on the Wii U, though the structural limits of the original game have remained almost intact.
-
Jan 14, 2013Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge is a much better effort if you look back to last year PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 game. Still, Team Ninja ha a long way to go to get this saga back on track to glory.
-
Jan 10, 2013This is easily the best version of Ninja Gaiden 3, but it's not quite the action masterpiece that fans have come to expect from the series.
-
Jan 2, 2013This version of Ninja Gaiden 3 is the best. It's complete thanks to new modes, Ayane special missions, the free DLC with Kasumi, more violence and, of course, off-TV option and touch assists.
-
Nov 27, 2012It's not perfect, but it's bloody fun when everything is working the way it should.
