The director’s commentary is completely worth it, especially if you’re a big fan of the original, but you can get that on other platforms for a cheaper price. At the end of the day, Deus Ex: Human Revolution is an amazing game that Director’s Cut only makes better. You should absolutely play it, but weigh your available platforms first.

The story is gritty, the world is engaging, and the sheer scope of choices at your disposal makes for incredible replay value. All those standards aside, the GamePad functionality is where the cool factor lies. There's so much to keep your fingers busy, and the visual design of the interface makes you feel like you're wielding a futuristic, high-tech tablet with apps meant for a covert agent.

It follows the same formula, excellent story and open ended problem solving and combines this with RPG elements and modern game play but with Wii U enhancements

I'm all for a re-release of a great game when it makes sense. The Director's Cut of DXHR fits the bill nicely; it's not too soon, it's not too late, and it takes what was already a fundamentally solid and great experience and makes it better. Wii U owners should keep this one on their short list.

Outside of some disappointment in the overall performance, and the ridiculous nature of the pricing on the Wii U compared to other platforms, I found this to be a pretty substantial re-release for a really great game.

Director's Cut gives you a ton of extra bang for your buck on top of an already stellar game, and if you haven't experienced it yet, this is the perfect opportunity to do so. If you have played it, I'm not sure the $20 Wii U premium is worth it, especially if you don't plan on using the Remote Play option.

It was a great game two years ago and it still is. Every addition is an improvement, and if you missed it the first time, it's the best opportunity to give it a try.

With improvements to the game's flow and excellent second-screen support, the Director's Cut of Human Revolution is the definitive version of an excellent game.

This Director's Cut fixes a few big issues of the original Deus Ex Human Revolution. Thanks to the redesigned boss battles and to the great use of the Wii U's GamePad, this is the best version of the title to date. If you didn't play the game two years ago, this is the moment to try one of the most interesting cyberpunk experiences of this generation.

A little too late? Maybe. It all depends on if you already played Deus Ex: Human Revolution. If not, you have no more reasons to not buy this game. Square Enix really enhanced the game, turning the Gamepad into a 'augmention'. If you already played Deus Ex: Human Revolution, then pray for a sequel!

Deus Ex Human Revolution - Director’s Cut had an unenviable task: take one of 2011’s best games and make it even better, all while figuring out how to best utilize the oft-ignored GamePad. It succeeded on all fronts.

I found Deus Ex to be very entertaining overall, but the lack of consistency with the first and third person camera angles, and the poorly conceived controls, do take their toll.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Director’s Cut is still a great action RPG with a phenomenal virtual word to get lost in. It doesn’t ad much aside from The Missing Link DLC, and isn’t very impressive graphically, but we can still recommend it for Wii U. Especially if you haven’t gotten around to playing it yet.

It’s not perfect, but it’s as close as it’s going to get for this Deus Ex, and that’s impressive in its own way.

What makes Human Revolution on the Wii U special aren't the additional features, but that which was already constructed. The game draws remarkable contrast between the sterility of the corporate world and the grit of the city.
