Oct 20, 2013This is both a worthy upgrade and worthy introduction if you’ve never played a game in the series before. The game may be augmented, but they’re augments made for the betterment of mankind.
-
Oct 25, 2013The director’s commentary is completely worth it, especially if you’re a big fan of the original, but you can get that on other platforms for a cheaper price. At the end of the day, Deus Ex: Human Revolution is an amazing game that Director’s Cut only makes better. You should absolutely play it, but weigh your available platforms first.
-
Oct 21, 2013The story is gritty, the world is engaging, and the sheer scope of choices at your disposal makes for incredible replay value. All those standards aside, the GamePad functionality is where the cool factor lies. There's so much to keep your fingers busy, and the visual design of the interface makes you feel like you're wielding a futuristic, high-tech tablet with apps meant for a covert agent.
-
Oct 31, 2013It follows the same formula, excellent story and open ended problem solving and combines this with RPG elements and modern game play but with Wii U enhancements
-
Oct 21, 2013I'm all for a re-release of a great game when it makes sense. The Director's Cut of DXHR fits the bill nicely; it's not too soon, it's not too late, and it takes what was already a fundamentally solid and great experience and makes it better. Wii U owners should keep this one on their short list.
-
Oct 25, 2013Outside of some disappointment in the overall performance, and the ridiculous nature of the pricing on the Wii U compared to other platforms, I found this to be a pretty substantial re-release for a really great game.
-
Pelit (Finland)Feb 13, 2014The better, albeit still a bit rushed, version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Finally the bosses are on par with the rest of the game. [Jan 2014]
-
Dec 16, 2013Human Revolution respects how you like to play games and is good at all the things it attempts, from the stealth to the shooting to the RPG systems.
-
Nov 22, 2013Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut is a great adaptation of a stunning game for the Wii U hardware, making effective use of the console's distinct features.
-
Nov 5, 2013Deus Ex: Human Revolution is still a wonderful game, but as with the other three boss battles, I can't help feeling that this Director's Cut would have been even better if the directors had, you know, cut it.
-
Nov 4, 2013It may be a two-year-old game, but whoever's idea it was to resurrect Deus Ex: Human Revolution for Wii U deserves a slap on the back and a raise of the glass. The original game may not have had the GamePad in mind at all when it was released in 2011, but this Director's Cut feels completely at home with it in 2013.
-
Oct 28, 2013Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Director’s Cut artfully blends the action-oriented appeal of first-person shooters with the tension of a solid stealth title and the exploratory wonder of role-playing games. Honestly, it’s a rare gem, and one that offers a little something for everyone without compromising on any one aspect—both the sum of its parts and yet greater than.
-
Oct 23, 2013Everybody should have experienced this interesting and somewhat plausible vision of a possible future and it comes as no surprise that this well done Director's Cut is the version of choice for that.
-
Oct 22, 2013Designed specifically for the Wii U, this is the definitive version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and is worth picking up at full retail if you skipped the game the first time around.
-
Oct 21, 2013Director's Cut gives you a ton of extra bang for your buck on top of an already stellar game, and if you haven't experienced it yet, this is the perfect opportunity to do so. If you have played it, I'm not sure the $20 Wii U premium is worth it, especially if you don't plan on using the Remote Play option.
-
Oct 21, 2013An enhanced version of one of the best action and stealth adventure games. A must-have for Wii U owners.
-
Oct 19, 2013It was a great game two years ago and it still is. Every addition is an improvement, and if you missed it the first time, it's the best opportunity to give it a try.
-
Oct 18, 2013With improvements to the game's flow and excellent second-screen support, the Director's Cut of Human Revolution is the definitive version of an excellent game.
-
Oct 18, 2013This Director's Cut fixes a few big issues of the original Deus Ex Human Revolution. Thanks to the redesigned boss battles and to the great use of the Wii U's GamePad, this is the best version of the title to date. If you didn't play the game two years ago, this is the moment to try one of the most interesting cyberpunk experiences of this generation.
-
Oct 25, 2013Improved boss battles, audio commentary, well integrated controls via WiiU-GamePad: The Director’s Cut is without a doubt the best version of Human Revolution.
-
Dec 6, 2013A little too late? Maybe. It all depends on if you already played Deus Ex: Human Revolution. If not, you have no more reasons to not buy this game. Square Enix really enhanced the game, turning the Gamepad into a 'augmention'. If you already played Deus Ex: Human Revolution, then pray for a sequel!
-
Oct 23, 2013Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Director’s Cut may be overlooked by those who have already played it, but it is a robust experience worthy of a playthrough by its own right.
-
Oct 22, 2013Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut is a highly recommended title, especially to those who have never played the original: it is certainly the best and most complete version of the Eidos title.
-
Oct 22, 2013It's indeed the best way to play Deus Ex: Human Revolution in case you've missed it, even if some of the new Gamepad features feel a little bit forced in and really don't add anything special to the gameplay.
-
Oct 21, 2013Deus Ex Human Revolution - Director’s Cut had an unenviable task: take one of 2011’s best games and make it even better, all while figuring out how to best utilize the oft-ignored GamePad. It succeeded on all fronts.
-
Dec 24, 2013I found Deus Ex to be very entertaining overall, but the lack of consistency with the first and third person camera angles, and the poorly conceived controls, do take their toll.
-
Nov 5, 2013Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Director’s Cut is still a great action RPG with a phenomenal virtual word to get lost in. It doesn’t ad much aside from The Missing Link DLC, and isn’t very impressive graphically, but we can still recommend it for Wii U. Especially if you haven’t gotten around to playing it yet.
-
Oct 28, 2013It’s not perfect, but it’s as close as it’s going to get for this Deus Ex, and that’s impressive in its own way.
-
Oct 22, 2013What makes Human Revolution on the Wii U special aren't the additional features, but that which was already constructed. The game draws remarkable contrast between the sterility of the corporate world and the grit of the city.
-
Oct 18, 2013Deus Ex Human Revolution: Director's Cut is, without any doubt, the ultimate version of the masterpiece by Eidos Montreal, and the WiiU Gamepad even manages to ennoble it by adding further interesting mechanics. Unfortunately, the price is way too high for a two-year-old game.
