Call of Duty: Black Ops II

Black Ops 2 is, at this moment in time, the best, most content rich multiplayer game ever released on a Nintendo system.

Easily one of the most jam-packed, visually impressive launch titles that has probably ever been released.

Overall, Black Ops 2 on the Wii U is easily recommendable. It proves that the Wii U can handle a modern top-tier shooter with ease, and is easily one of the best titles in the launch lineup. Unless you're buying a Wii U for the kiddies this year, you'll want to add Black Ops 2 to your new console's bundle.

Black Ops 2 porting on Wii U is not a work of art. Some textures are bad and netcode is not optimized as well. The GamePad, however, works as a second screen boosting local multiplayer and the general experience.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II is by far the most fleshed out Call of Duty game to date; with a whole load of content included and some lovely exclusive features, it's clear that Treyarch is committed to making the series successful on Wii U.

Black Ops 2 on Wii U lives up to its Xbox counterpart (that being slightly superior to the PS3 version) in almost every way. The lack of CoD Elite support and live video streaming is irrelevant to your enjoyment of the actual game, and additionally insignificant next to the lack of players at the moment – a limitation that will subside as the user base grows.

It even makes great use of the Gamepad with real-time maps and streaming Gamepad play, while staying away from needless touch screen gimmicks. Ultimately, Black Ops 2 is just as good on the Wii U as it is on Xbox 360 and PS3 – save for the complete lack of a multiplayer community.

Black Ops II on Wii U may amount to the same experience as on other systems, but it remains an impressive game. The aging multiplayer could use more of a twist, but the campaign is top-notch, and even Zombies mode manages a few new things. In the first of what will likely be many appearances on Nintendo's new system, the franchise delivers.

As a full package, Call of Duty: Black Ops II's superb offering of a balanced multiplayer, challenging Zombies modes, and entertaining single player campaign make it an excellent title to pick up on the Wii U.

If you do not already own Black Ops 2 for any other console, and you are a COD fan who has picked up a shiny new Wii U console, then you will inevitably want to pick up Black Ops 2 at it is a purchase that is really a no-brainer.

Apart from a few frame rate issues Black Ops 2 is a perfect port of the "old gen consoles", but above all it's a great way to show that GamePad fits perfectly with the FPS genre.

Treyarch puts together a solid care package for Nintendo gamers with a very competent, competitive, and nigh complete version of Black Ops 2.

War is not changing in Wii U. Black Ops II is still a good videogame in the new Nintendo console, with minor improvements, not considering its great off-screen gameplay option.

I almost prefer the Wii U version of Black Ops 2 over any other; the gamepad feels great to play with, and being able to play online with another person is a great feature.

A great title with the best multiplayer we've seen on this console so far. There are some framerate issues, but if you're a FPS fan, then this is a must have.

If you like Call of Duty, Black Ops II is your new game. It doesn't innovate too much, it invents nothing, and it presents war as always but it works. Multiplayer modes are amazing again and zombies cause more problems now. The AI​​, graphics and minimal improvements spoil a bit the experience, but fans will love its strong multiplayer. Being able to play through the Wii GamePad is an interesting experience.

Most of the positive elements of Black Ops II make their way to Nintendo's console unchanged. Visuals are sharp, the campaign offers great branching paths, and multiplayer is deep. No amount of multiplayer depth matters if people aren't playing, however, so this version of the game lands just a little shy of the mark set by its brothers on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.

Placed in the greater CODverse and BLOPS2 is too inconsistent to rank among the classics. Nice ideas rub shoulders with absolute howlers, and smart additions are hampered by a complacent disregard for beginners. In the Nintendoverse, however, this COD is a big fish in a small pond.

If this doesn't get the Nintendo crowd interested in first-person shooters, nothing will.

If you are looking for a decent shooter for the Wii U, then this is the title to get. It offers a single-player, a zombi mode and lots of hours to spend in the multiplayer.

Treyarch did a good job with the Wii U version of CoD Black Ops 2. The content is the same as on PS3 or Xbox 360, the graphics as well, and of course on this version you can play on the GamePad itself, or even use it as a second screen for player 2. We would have liked the touch screen to be used also for the gameplay, though.

Though zombies mode is stagnating, the rest of Black Ops II is lively, and it is right at home on the Wii U. Developer Treyarch's storytelling prowess has once again resulted in an engaging, exciting campaign, and the online multiplayer population is likely to grow as more people acquire the new console.

It's the hardcore game Nintendo fans have always wanted on their platform, leaving nothing but your console friends list behind.

If you only own a Wii U this is one game to pay close attention to. It is one of the better ports, and the second screen functionality becomes second nature after a while. In fact, it would be hard to play without it now. Combined with the great campaign packed in, this is definitely one of the better launch ports for the Wii U.

As a Wii U launch title, Black Ops II strives to innovate upon the well-known Call of Duty-formula, and to some extent it also manages to do so. While it still is very much the same game previously released on Sony's and Microsoft's consoles, it is the ability to play the game single-handed through the game pad that should be Nintendo's selling point.

While it's nice to finally have a "proper" Call of Duty game on a Nintendo console that makes convenient if simple use of the GamePad, it's a shame that Black Ops II isn't one of the series' best.

The story mode has some technical issues but overall this is an impressive effort for a launch game, with the GamePad adding some genuine value to the experience.

The campaign delivers as it did on other systems, but suffers from framerate issues. The multiplayer drags the Wii U experience down. I can live with the small number of available players, even though some modes suffer from that. But the connection losses are a big disappointment.
