    Bombing Bastards doesn't stand up to the high standards set by some recent Wii U eShop releases, but it's a competent if unremarkable action puzzler.

    Bombing Bastards serves its purpose well, which is to be a Bomberman game in everything but name — and even there couldn’t steer clear of the influential series completely.

    Bombing Bastards has its moments, primarily in its single-player, but the failure of its multiplayer really drags the entire experience down. It's a noble attempt at recapturing the Bomberman spirit, but it just misses the mark.
