Blek isn't for everyone, and I'm sure it will divide some Wii U owners. But if you approach the game with the right attitude – and accept the game's minimalistic approach to game design – then you might find it to be one of the best puzzle games available in the Wii U eShop. Strained braincells and hand cramps aside, this is a unique and beautifully crafted puzzler which is as admirable for its artistic approach as it is for its fresh mechanics.

Even with the occasional bout of frustration, Blek is mostly a marvel in how it’s designed. The organic way that it unfolds is amazing. While the Wii U version might not be the ideal way to experience it, Blek is still something worth looking at, even if it’s just as a curiosity.

Minimal to the max, this would be an adequate way of presenting Blek. Without any additional or superfluous elements, Blek is all about putting the stylus to the GamePad and guiding the line. A very challenging puzzle game with a perhaps too steep learning curve, but which will be welcomed by many.

With a bit more time and a few new features, Blek has all the ingredients to become a strong entry into the puzzle world, should a sequel ever transpire.
