Zombie Army Trilogy is basically a Left-4-Dead style multiplayer zombie-shooter. There's plenty of campaign to play either solo or with friends. There's a bit of fog that prohibits long-distance rendering, but it adds to the game's creepy vibes. The music is okay, but there's a limited amount of sounds the zombies make, so you'll hear the same sounds again and again.

Originally, my review said 7.5, but i took half a point off because the box says 1-2 players, but there is no split-screen option. You must have one console per player, and "local co-op" mode is on the same wifiLAN, not the same console.

The only reason you should buy this game is if you’re eager to go online and blast away at zombies with others. There are worse reasons to buy a game, though, so if that’s what you’re after — and that’s literally all you’re after — it may just be worth your time.

The repetitiveness of Zombie Army Trilogy is what holds it back in the end. By the time the first campaign is over players will have seen everything that Zombie Army Trilogy has to offer. The only interesting mechanic that the game sports is the X-Ray visual gimmick, but that has been seen in every Sniper Elite game to date. Zombie Army Trilogy is sadly nowhere near as fun as Zombie Army 4: Dead War. With no enticing new content or features, players who don't have a friend to play online with will probably lose interest in Zombie Army Trilogy fast.

Zombie Army Trilogy on the Nintendo Switch is a good fit ultimately. No, this is not the most complex or revolutionary one on the market. At its core, in fact, it is very much a linear action title that wears its heart on its sleeve. There is plenty of bombastic action and very little substance. That is not a criticism, however. This is a game that knows what it is, and does it well. It is definitely a downgrade graphically, and it takes until the third chapter to really hit its stride in terms of complexity. However, the experience comes into its own as a co-op adventure with friends, and there is certainly an awfully lot of fun to be had here.
