Zero Zero Zero Zero doesn’t have what it takes to compete with its competition. If you like precise platformers, I’d wholeheartedly recommend VVVVVV instead, if you don’t already own it.

Enjoyed the minimalist style, but didn't find it particularly addictive due to the repetitive failure underscored by the fact that when you do complete a level the music picks up, the you fail again, the music is dialled back, fail again, and the music fades; if the developer wanted to drive home how much you suck at the game then this communicates it perfectly. More of a game that you pick up every now and again and slowly get better at rather than something that keeps you glued to the screen. Full Review »

Addicting action platformer with a unique hook that adds so much to this hardcore game. The levels shuffle every time you die. It’s very fast paced, and every time you come back to a level that has been bothering you, it feels like facing a boss. The gimmick is simple, but as I played on, a lot of nuance presented itself, changing how I approached each level. Awesome art style and music. The platforming is challenging but fair. The controls of your little cowboy dude are pitch perfect, making the game feel super fluid and enjoyable. Highly recommend it to fans of super meat boy and Celeste. Full Review »
