Xenoblade Chronicles is already one of the best JRPG's ever made, and this remaster amplifies that ten times. A beautiful looking, well refined game that makes it easier to manage and understand, and is an example of where Monolithsoft may take the series in the future.

Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition is simply one of the best games I have played ever. After less than 10 hours of play I knew that this was one of my favorite games of all time. I am a huge RPG fan and... wow. This is probably the best I've played. Each area is massive, and allows for unparalleled exploration. I thought BOTW had it down, and it did but... man. This game NAILS it. Its combat system is also unique. It takes a bit of getting used to, but once you get a hang of it it is great, and extremely deep. I have not beat the game yet but MAN, that story is amazing. It does a really good job of keeping suspense and I have had points where I'm dying to know who those people are in that one cutscene. Speaking of cutscenes, the voice acting is top notch. Its all very british, retaining that feel from the original (which I have not played). That voice acting does contrast will the japanese-eyness (word) of the game, but works SO WELL. And the music, the MUSIC! I am an audiofile, so this is very important to me. It is outstanding. I cannot even begin to describe how good it is. It works so well everywhere, especially in the emotional cutscenes. The worlds are creative, the characters memorable, and everything works so well. PLAY THIS GAME. Trust me, it is one of the finest experiences gaming has to offer. It has shattered my every expectation and has done so for many others. Please from the bottom of my heart, play it. I know perfectly well how hard it is to justify a 10/10 rating and to be honest, I was kind of tempted to give Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition a 9/10 because I felt like it would probably be taken more seriously, but in the end, I just couldn't do it because I just love playing it so much.

This doesn't mean this game has not flaws because there certainly are some, but it's despite all of them that I've been playing this on a daily basis since it came out a month ago, and I normally tend to switch between games rather quickly once I've finished them.

What XCDE still does best ist the amazing worldbuilding, storytelling, its highly customizable and varied combat system and the brilliant english voice acting.
Also the soundtrack, which was already great in the Wii and 3DS releases, has now been greatly overhauled for this version which makes it almost just as incredible as the one found in Xenoblade Chronicles 2, though sometimes the occasional sampled instruments are still just a little bit more obvious.

Graphically, if you manage to look past some small shortcomings like grass fading in and the resolution not being as good as it could technically be (yes it's a shame but not at all as bad as many people like to make it sound), XCDE manages to impress in quite a few ways. There's the customizable and completely overhauled UI, the added option of appearance gear that lets you choose your characters' appearances independently of their equipment which is even visible in the epic cutscenes, the remade character models which all look nice and clean this time around and of course the breathtaking landscapes that only Monloith Soft manages to craft in this unique way in my opinion (who were in charge of developing Breath of the Wild's world as well, as you might know).

The story remains the same as in the original, which is both a very good thing and a little bit of a shame at the same time. As amazing and intriguing as it is and as brilliantly as it's told, Definitive Edition would have definitely offered an opportunity to expand on some smaller aspects of it which it doesn't. I still love every part of it, from the characters to the pacing and general flow; there's just no episode in the game whatsoever that doesn't contribute to the main plot at least in some subtle way you might only realize later on or even on a second playthrough. In my honest opinion, this is among the absolute best RPG stories there are on the video game market and it even still outclasses Xenoblade 2s story in a lot of ways.

As for the core gameplay, one thing I would have liked to see is the AI of party members getting an overhaul. Sadly, that isn't the case and you'll still want to make sure to take control of certain party members yourself if you want to use them, since this really isn't the best AI.
Yet on the contrary, that is really the only complaint I have regarding the combat system, and that's saying something. Though combat is based on auto-attacks and cooldown-based arts, there's so much going on on screen most of the time that you'll need to constantly pay attention instead of being able to let the game play itself. Every character feels and plays unique and what makes this JRPG combat special is that the characters actually depend on each other in order to unfold their full potential - so not just controlling one character alone actually has a meaning in this case.
There's also a huge amount of customization for you to do. Part of the fun is trying out which party setups synergize best together, which arrangement of arts and equipment benefit your desired constellation the most and ultimately, which playstyle you prefer. XCDE also encourages experimentation by making you adapt to certain types of enemies because of their unique attack patterns or other attributes such as different kinds of auras. All in all, this makes for a very strategic, varied and also individual experience that can sometimes be very challenging and keep you on the edge of your chair during particularily hard fights. Even doing a bunch of quests on the side, I only managed to be overleveled for about an hour of gameplay before meeting unique enemies that almost stomped my party again.

Speaking of the quests: Yes, there's a lot of generic ones in there. I highly recommend accepting them as soon as they pop up and just completing them as part of the exploration process, instead of hording them and then trying to grind them all at once, which admittedly can get quite tedious. But XCDE also does go out of its way to make them as easy to complete as possible, showing you exactly where you need to go and even giving you rewards straight after completion instead of having you backtrack to the questgiver in many cases. And there's also some questlines that do tell charming or fun little stories, so be on the look out for those. ;)

All in all, this remains my favorite RPG to date and I don't regret buying it a second time at all.

Loved the original on Wii. Has a ton of options for new players. This game is huge, world is larged chained together areas, 100's of side-quests(a lot of fetch quests in there though) an engaing story that uses anime and jrpg tropes to the fullest. Combat can seem unintuitive and clunky at first, but once you get the hang of it, its pretty cool.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is a whole MASTERPIECE, I could honestly gush about it for hours. The story is one of the best in gaming as a whole, the twists and turns are never seen coming the first time around and when you play through the ng+ you see how much foreshadowing and thought was put into it. It immediately hooks you in with the death of shulks childhood friend fiora, and there’s never a dull moment as he meets new people, unlocks the powers of the monado, etc etc. The gameplay is incredible too, although not as complex as xc2 it’s honestly just so fun positioning yourself and your party, and as lame as it may be topple locking is fun af to do. The world of xenoblade de is so immersive, even the NPCs have a fair amount of character and depth and completing their side quests let you see more about the lives of the people on the bionis and mechonis. The side quests have been improved SO SO much from the original, I found myself actually doing them and enjoying them this time while on the 3ds I did the bare minimum to get eater and armor arts and never did a side quest again. The mechonis core act is honestly better than some games. This review has some spoilers in it and I marked it with spoilers so new people prolly ain’t gonna see it but if anyone is please play this game I can almost guarantee you’ll love it Expand

Being on a standard definition console, the game always felt like it was trapped in time on a platform that itself was past it's prime. It made up for it with a compelling story and characters and top-notch art direction.

The game saw a port to the 3DS which was a technical showcase but ended up feeling like it was in the same boat as it's Wii predecessor. It was on a platform that was on in years and being exclusive to the "new" 3DS limited it's audience somewhat.

The definitive edition arrives on Switch with new character models, improved textures, and remixed soundtrack. But do all of these bells and whistles truly make it the definitive version?

Visually the game is an improvement, however, being stuck with a dynamic resolution that is sub HD in portable mode kind of detracts a bit. You're going to have a resolution between 378-540p. In docked mode, the resolution can range from 504p-720p.

The remixed soundtrack is great but never fear, the original is here too if you prefer.

Gameplay has seen some notable improvements. Abilities that have positioning requirements now alert you with a blue exclamation point when in place. Quests are far easier to track now as well which makes the game flow much better.

One of the additions I appreciate the most is the inclusion of an event theatre to watch all the gorgeous cutscenes over again. This allows you to experience the story again in a more passive fashion without having to replay it all. It also allows you to refamiliarize yourself with the story should you have to come back to the game at a later date.

With the resolution being the only discernable drawback? It never looks particularly bad on the portable screen. The art direction is still on point here and with all the enhancements, it truly does make for the definitive edition...or at least until Nintendo decides to re-release it again.

One thing, the combat takes a while to get used to because it can get complicated as you unlock the Monado and all of the other skills. Every character has special Arts, skills and strategies so I reccomend you read the in game tutorial several times because this game has a TON of different systems that can get really complicated. For example knowing when to use the Monado arts to combat different boss mechanics.

Another thing that makes this game great is that it's actually a challenge to play. One big flaw of JRPGs is how they always feel so easy but in this game if you're under leveled a boss can kick your ass. There's also a ton of super bosses just laying around with epic loot if you manage to defeat them.

This game deserves a 10/10, must have status and a Bad Ass seal of approval.

The extra .5 is for the insanely improved graphics, character models, facial expressions, quest markers and progression, and the entirety of the Future Connected epilogue. However, in spite of all of that, there were a few additions I would have loved to see that sadly did not make it into the game. Lacking voices for Heart-to-Hearts, keeping the integral rebuilding of Colony 6 a bit obtuse without adding item trackers, and (a bit subjectively) not updating several notable cutscenes to stay canonically relevant to the current state of Xenoblade. However, don’t take these tiny complaints as deal-breakers. It’s easier to point out the one or two tiny flaws in a game than to count each and every moment of pure joy this game made me feel. It’s truly a masterpiece of gaming, even today, 10 years later. Expand

I have to admit that back in the old days, I never really finished this JRPG, thanks to its endless grinding and sharp difficulty. However, many quality of life improvements has made this game more playable than ever. Modern gamers can enjoy this classic: surprisingly released near PS4's controversial 'blockbuster', The Last of Us part 2. Both are similar in that they are narrative driven games, albeit in a different genre. Yet, audiences loved this game more whole heartedly. Why? In this era of 'Covid 19' pandemic, Nintendo games give you a sense of hope and joyfulness: of seeing epic environments now brought to true HD; of optimistic 'heroes' such as Shulk and Dunban. That is why Nintendo (and Monolith software), despite its 'creaky' graphics seemingly triumph over its competitors. Expand

Oh man, oh boy, this is definitely Definitive!
The graphics are all revamped, but every single aspect that made the original great are here. I could fall in love again with Shulk, Fiora, Reyn, Dunban, Sharla and all the gang. Some of the soundtrack was redone and managed to be even more awesome (and you can still select to listen to the original too).
And more, a new chapter is included and, while a bit short, makes this version it even more enticing for those who played the original over and over.

If you like a complex JRPG with fantastic world, crazy yet consistent (and intriguing!) plot and lovable characters, you will LOVE this game!

If you have already played the original, go for it as well. The new content and remastered graphics/audio are well worth it. Besides, rewatching the intro with the new graphics made me go all "I'M REALLY FEELING IT!" all over again!

    Damn, I love this game!

With an honest remake, however, comes the same balancing problems in combat from the original game that make certain characters useless in the endgame and the same inconsistent/frustrating AI. The graphical overhaul makes the characters look more defined and some re-voicing of dialogue in the English release goes a long way. The Future Connected expansion was not my favorite because of what I believe were uninteresting playable characters and bosses, but it does give closure as an epilogue to the main story. FC is definitely a step up from the Torna DLC from XC2, and features peak Monolith Soft world building and geography that takes advantage of dynamic heights, fair pacing and fantastic new music. The lore of this world is very interesting. The beginning of the story is very good, but it could be a little slower and have more content. The fuse that makes Shulk start his adventure was really cool and well thought out, even generating a good plotwist later, but he "arrived" very quickly. The story was very loud until 15hrs (opinion). I thought that Shulk's visions spoil the story's unpredictability in some points (even if not entirely), that vision of the black tower I deliver 70% of what would happen at the end of the arc for the next 6 hours. There are some very unpredictable events. This game also brings some really cool 'philosophies'.

I was afraid of the graphics and the low resolution of this game (I am boring with resolution), but it impressed me a lot, it was the most beautiful game of Switch that I played (even more than Zelda). The scenarios, ahhhhhhhh the scenarios, I had never enjoyed scenarios so much in any game as this one, they are very well made, beautiful and differentiated. There are some average scenarios and one or the other bad but in general it is another level.

The combat in this game is unique, but just because something is unique does not mean it is good. I liked this style of combat, as I am a huge fan of Hack & Slash (which is just to beat the fight) at first I was very surprised (because you don't beat), but I got used to it faster than I thought I would. It is definitely not my favorite style but I liked it. If it was an action rpg I would like it more, but at the same time I can't see this game as being a turn-based game. The characters are very varied and the game encourages you to keep changing characters in your party, many JRPGs fail to do that.

The soundtrack is quite mediocre. He had 2 OSTs above average and a good one. I think they put a lot of hype in me in the reviews, because you really don't buy trails, persona, nier or final fantasy.

I found the cutscenes of the story broken. Even so, they are very well done. The animations of the characters outside the cutscenes are pretty bad.

This game has a very interesting mechanic that I've never seen called Story Memo, which summarizes the part of the story you're in and tells you where you have to go and why, I thought it was awesome.

The characters. They are the second thing that draws the most attention in the game, the first is the story, but in the end the two complement each other. They are very good and give a charm to the game but as I said the characters do not have much development and interaction between them during the campaign, what good is having good characters if we don’t see them interacting. There are a few moments when this happens but most of the time it is with something more tragic, a drama or tension that is going on.

The Shulk is a great protagonist, he appears to be a stereotype but takes some unexpected paths, makes mistakes (which generate consequences), knows when he has to act, is op (but not at an absurd level, in addition to having people more op than him ) and is charismatic. It has a decent development for a protagonist in such a great story.

The loadings are short, especially considering the size of the maps and the "power" of the console. The difficulty curve is definitely not one of the highlights of this game, if you don't like doing useless side quests, for example, you'll be stressed out. The script is incredible (along with the "exclusion" of some characters), the story is good, it has very original parts and others very clichés, but the original and unexpected ones are overlapping. Particularly, I found that the story after the death of an important character took a somewhat exaggerated and nonsense turn. The story ends up being very "interrupted" by the gameplay and exploitation harming it, this is perhaps the biggest flaw in Xenoblade, if they had cadenced the story more and added some smaller arcs (between characters for example) between the big ones the narrative would border on perfection. Another criticism was that they introduced a novel and did not give it a closure ... and I HATE something open.

Only thing that I would say lets is down is the massive amount of generic side quest padding. Even one of the main side elements that you will continue to work on throughout your play-though is a glorified fetch quest for items.

As a remake of Xenoblade Chronicles; Definitive Edition fixed all of the problems the first game had and completely overhauls the visual for the better. The environments look like how one would imagine them when I visited them on the Wii. This game has the best story I've ever had the pleasure of viewing in any form of media, Xenoblade Chronicles tells a story of revenge and then continues to build on its premise and world until the very end of the game, it is truly a masterpiece in storytelling and I envy anyone who will get to witness the story unfold with the stunning visuals that Definitive Edition offers on top of the amazing writing it already had.

The game isn't all just story the game is centered around its combat and exploration. The combat takes place in real-time and will keep you on your toes as each enemy has different attacks they can use, and Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition has game mechanics that tie into the story and makes combat all the better for it, as you have to pay attention to the connection between your party members and how they are feeling during a battle(it sounds weird saying it like that but trust me it's really cool).

Overall, Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition is an absolute masterpiece that should be in every switch owners library of games, for newcomers to the RPG genre of games you should not be worried what-so-ever, this game is very welcoming and slowly brings you into how games of this kind work, even if you have only played Pokemon you will have no trouble getting the hang of things in this game. Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition is a game with fantastic visuals, gameplay, and story. Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition is the game by which all further games released from this point should be judged.

There is a reason fans gush about this game. This is the type of game that you can get lost in for a very long time. You can spend hundreds of hours with it.

The story is darker and more mature than you might expect (especially for a game produced by Nintendo). The game looks “anime” but the story isn’t as cliched or corny as you might think. It definitely kept me engaged.

The English translation and voice acting are great. The game was originally translated for a European audience because Nintendo didn’t have plans to bring it to America, so the voices are not American. If you’ve played any of the recent Dragon Quest games or Ni No Kuni, the voice acting is comparable to those.

There is an option to turn battle dialogue off, which I recommend, because it can get annoying hearing the same few lines repeated thousands of times.

The best part of the game, to me, is the combat. It has one of the best, most addictive battle systems in any game I have ever played. Seriously. It just has to be experienced to be understood. It’s phenomenal and so fun to play. It’s as deep as you want it to be. What’s so cool about Xenoblade it how customizable it is. You can change your party, assign abilities, reposition your attack commands any way you’d like, and have the experience you want to have.

Combat is comparable to MMOs in the sense that every ability has a cooldown timer. Where things get interesting is the synergies between party members’ abilities. You can easily sit back and use auto-attack or mash buttons and do fine, but the game rewards players who pay attention and understand the mechanics. When you pay attention to Arts and queue up attacks with synergies, to keep attack chains going. The longer your attack chain, the higher damage you deal and the better your rewards at the end of combat. It’s a very interactive battle system and makes playing truly engaging.

Now that the Switch allows for button remapping, the customization options for Xenoblade Chronicles are even better. I prefer having the left and right d-pad buttons mapped to the ZL and ZR shoulder buttons and the A button mapped to a R stick press. It makes using Arts in combat WAY more fluid.

There are a ton of twists that will catch you off guard, but can still be predicted if you pay close attention. As for the combat, while it is relatively simple, and straightforward, the game does not take the entire game to fully flesh out its combat. Each of the characters bring about a different play style. Shulk focuses more on positionals, Reyn on buffing himself and keeping the enemy on him, and Sharla focuses on support. Sure while combat is simple, if you dislike the combat of a particular character, you can always change who you are controlling. If you were not a fan of Xenoblade 2, the general consensus in the Xenoblade community is that this one is superior as far as story and characters are concerned. That being said, I am not saying that all of the characters in 2 are boring, Xenoblade Chronicles just handles its main cast significantly better. There is not a single character in the main party that I dislike.

The music in Definitive Edition is amazing, thankfully, if you are not a big fan of the remastered soundtrack, you can always switch back to the original soundtrack.

As for the changes made in the Definitive edition, There are a ton of quality of life improvements such as, icons to indicate which item orbs you need to grab, NPC tracking, quest tracking, Scout spotted you exclamation mark, art suggestion marker, Gift result memory, and many others. Needless to say, trying to 100% this game or even completing side quests are far less tedious than it was in the original game.

A complaint that I have noticed in a significant amount of reviews is the fact that this game is grindy. This game will take you forever to grind your characters to the correct level threshold, if you are fighting monsters for grinding. Side quests give you far more experience than fighting enemies do, that being said, do not feel the need to complete all the sidequests that you get. If you complete no side quests, you will be underleveled, and if you complete all the sidequests in a particular area, you will be overleveled for the next boss. One thing to keep in mind is that 81 out of the 480 side quests in the game are found in the first area, so don't feel the need to complete all the quests here; however, if you are struggling to defeat bosses because of the level difference, consider doing a few side quests that give you exp, or better equipment. If ever you find yourself overleveled, there is an addition introduced in DE called Expert Mode. You can manually adjust which level you are with that option. The other complaint is the fact that you move too slowly, there is a gem that you can either craft, get from a sidequest, or get from finishing a page of the collectabedia called Quickstep gems. Equipping those will increase the movement speed of the character it is on.

I personally find that this is one of the best JRGs ever created, and if you think this is nostalgia speaking, I have played the original game last year and stopped around halfway through because definitive edition was announced. That being said, the game should take around 70-80 hours to complete, if it take more time than that, either you are trying to be a completionist, or you are grinding manually.

Ну что тут сказать, взяли хорошую игру и осовременили её почти во всех смыслах. Было бы 10, если бы ещё поработали и над боевой системой, а так крепкая девяточка с плюсом.

Grinding is also another part of this game but its not as excessive at times but if you do the Quests chances are you should be fine. Expand

The best version of the game. The only gripe I have is the Colony 6 reconstruction quest, but even that has a solution that the dev did not tell you. The battle system need some getting use to, though I still prefer XC2's system. I cannot wait for more games from Monolith Soft.

I'm a huge Xenoblade fan. Definitive Edition is a faithful recreation of the first and best game in the series. However, the daytime area theme for Makna Forest is missing a flourish in the percussion near the beginning that makes it sound a bit off to devotees of the franchise. The art style is more consistent, as the original game didn't have a coordinated art team. The overall graphics are on par with Xenoblade Chronicles 2 which is good. The story is phenomenal and is unchanged from the original. I haven't finished the new epilogue, but have thoroughly enjoyed it so far. This game is a must-play for anyone who likes JRPGs and hasn't played the original, which I presume is a lot of people. Expand

I'm just gonna say it, this game has flaws. I've played about 12 hours of it, and like it. But it's full of fetch quests and other aging design conventions, along with a bloated combat system. Story seems *fine*

Overall, I 'd say this is a solid addition to the Switch's RPG library. It's possible that I might revise this with a higher or lower rating if I keep playing.

There are many new features, like a time challenge, a better ui, more options, skins, etc., however, the best feature is A future connected, a new story that works as an epilogue. A future connected is NOT a good story, the explanations are poor and there are not twists. The only interesting character just disappear to die in an absurd way during a sidequest, something that makes no sense for me. Despite of that, A future connected is a promise since it clearly teases Xenoblade Chronicles 3, a game that obviously will CONNECT Xenoblade 1 and 2. I am honestly really excited about it. Expand

I went in with extremely high expectations but can't help feeling some disappointment. This game initially released in the west in 2011 during a time when jrpgs were going through a lull. There was a shift towards more linear action focused jrpgs so receiving a big game which allowed so much freedom was a blessing at the time. Does the game hold up? In some ways but it's definitely aged.I went in with extremely high expectations but can't help feeling some disappointment. There was a shift towards more linear action focused jrpgs so receiving a big game which allowed so much freedom was a blessing at the time. Does the game hold up? In some ways but it's definitely aged.

It's very nice to see a classic jrpg get so much love but you should keep in mind that the ridiculous number of 10 out of 10 reviews here were posted on May 29th, the day the game released. Most of these people did not actually play through this 80 hour game in such a short timespan and from what I've seen on YouTube the fanbase for this game... they might be looking at this game with rose tinted glasses... there's a very real chance you'll play this and realize it doesn't live up to the hype.

    Pros:
Large world with an excellent concept. Exploring enormous dead creatures and seeing a giant sword in the distance is very cool.
The story is well written (although it's a shame that people post spoilers in youtube game review videos)
The gameplay is a lot of fun.
    Updated UI.
    Quest tracking has been added
I haven't tried it yet but it's nice they added new story content
Rebuilding colony 6 takes a lot of time but it's fun seeing it develop.

    Cons:
The environments have received an update but not a significant one. Most of the places you'll visit are nice but they don't have that wow factor.
Some of the characters don't receive enough development.
The voice acting is ok but could be much better. You can tell the actors were recorded separately. It doesn't feel like they're actually talking to each other.
Riki is very annoying (most jrpgs have an annoying character like this but he's one of the worse examples I've seen).
Sometimes after a cutscene your party has been changed for no reason so you might run into a fight and realize you don't have a healer anymore.
The sidequests are dull repetitive fetch quests or kill quests. There are no cutscenes and there's no story here. Unfortunately completing them is really important for levelling and gaining new gear.
    The game is very grindy.
RNG is pretty frustrating at times. A lot of quests require you to gather items but every item appears as a blue orb so there's a random chance of getting the item you need. Or sometimes you need to fight a monster but they only appear during thunderstorms... have fun changing the time in the menu for the next ten to fifteen minutes while you hope for a thunderstorm.
The secret areas don't have any secrets. There's no cool weapon or armor piece just more blue orbs and some xp.

Overall I think this game deserves a 7 for its combat and story. You should keep in mind that this game released in Japan in 2010. It's a decade old game and it was a new IP so there are flaws. Don't let blind fanaticism convince you it's perfect. This is a long padded jrpg which looks dated even with the visual upgrade. However, the story is worth experiencing even if it does get a bit silly at times.

I have an enormous amount of respect for the creator. Moving from xenogears to xenosaga and now the xenoblade series he's been making quality games for a very long time. Personally I think Xenoblade chronicles 2 is a much stronger entry though and that makes me really excited for what's coming next.

Wonderful game, one of, if not the absolute best jrpgs of the past decade. The creative, diverse, vast world, great cast of excellently voice acted characters, superb music and writing, very fun and strategical combat, and a riveting, unique story make this game truly one of a kind. A must buy for jrpg fans, and even those who aren’t fans of the genre may find enjoyment in it as well.

This is the best rpg game since FF6. I never thought amy game would surpass ff7. This game compared to ff7r is a great example of what true ambition, hard work and love can accomplish. Don't trust all these nutcases that game this game 0/10. They are just trolls who didn't even play the game.

Content-wise, it is a real good piece of JRPG.
The only bad comes from the hardware limitation of nintendo.

Xenoblade Chronicles is still one of the best games of the genre, which 10 years later continues to delight and surprise with a unique world, luxurious epic landscapes, an incredible sense of freedom, beautiful music and a really interesting story. Of course, it is a pity that the Definitive Edition has a technical limitation in terms of resolution, which does not allow the image to really shine in 2020, but otherwise it is a chic project that every fan of the genre of adventure and Japanese role-playing games should play.

It’s hard to believe this is a game that released in 2012 and not more recently. Though there are some dated and heavy systems, the atmosphere and a combat system that gives freedom and depth make Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition an RPG for the ages.
