And if you set your party to level up new classes (which sometimes means you will be underpowered or unable to perform combos) - then you have to let your party die to enter the party menu to change. At any rate, it was manageable, the sequence was awesome, but a bit dragged out... I wont detract from a perfect 10/10 score, but this game is just amazing, 60+hours in and not close to getting tired of it. still have 2 more chapters to go.

Amazing videogames. The graphics are very good, the story is super interesting and the gameplay is great.
The main characters have their own story and are very well developed.

The culmination of the first story for the JRPG series Xenoblade Chronicles, XC3 builds on the strengths of the previous games, incorporates many quality of life improvements and tells a fascinating story which is a joy to bring to fruition.

Must buy for fans of the series, but is still accessible to folks who haven't played XC1 and XC2.

It's the best rpg of modern times. Even after completiing it my mind keeps on wandering to it. XB3 has the series best exploration, story, music and villain with a perfect ending. I hope they don't ruin it with a needless dlc.

Is it massive entertaining RPG that doesn't disappoint? Indeed. It fulfills all expectations with excellent story, lot of dilemmas, well-written characters, vast world and plenty of activities and combat. Fans can be satisfied again and newcomers could give it a shot, finally.

I rarely rank games here. Typically only when I play a masterpiece that deserves a 10. There's just too many "decent" games to bother with anything less. This is the best JRPG I've ever played. Bar none.

Best jrpg I have ever played and I’m considering if it’s my new all time favorite game. I loved everything about it and any negativity I can pick out is so minimal it’s not even worth mentioning. I Thank the developers so much for the amount of work and passion they put into it.

This game is absolutely amazing, and it's by far the best in the series so far. Some of the way the story is presented reminds me very much of Xenogears.

Xenoblade games feel like you're controlling an MMO party, and they've really refined this gameplay in XC3. In previous titles of the series these systems could feel a bit clunky and under utilized. It would often feel like you couldn't quite get the gameplay loop down to how they intended it. Fights would end too quickly, or you couldn't get the combos to work properly. All of these issues seem to have completely disappeared with XC3.

This is especially true on the harder difficulties, and it really shines when you're fighting bosses. There is the concept of a main tank, off tank, healer, utility, and dps classes. Unless you're over leveled, you will almost certainly have to switch party members to better control the actions of your party. During these longer fights, you will have many opportunities to leverage all of the proper mechanics, and it’s immensely satisfying to pull off.

There is a phenomenal class system that allows you to leverage skills and arts from other classes that you’ve mastered. The classes are unlocked both through main story quests, and optional side quests. It wouldn’t surprise me if some of the classes end up being decently hidden.

Like other titles on the series, the open world maps can definitely feel a bit lifeless. There are great incentives to explore the maps, but don’t expect any type of dynamic event or sense of the world being lived in. This is true of all JRPG’s so I would think most people will be expecting this going into this game.

Any potential downside from the dull environments is quickly overlooked by the fact that you can play this phenomenal RPG anywhere you want. The fact that we are able to play this phenomenal 80+ Hour RPG’s in handheld mode is amazing. I'm a father of 2 so being able to play XC3 in bite size chunks on the couch is really a great bonus.

I hope they never stop making these games. I love this series.

El sistema de batalla puede imponer bastante al ver imágenes por todo el hud que aparece en pantalla, pero a la hora de la verdad es super fácil de hacer y seguir todo

The last chapter of this wonderful JRPG trilogy (I would dare to say, the best of this millennium), could not close in a better way; really EVERYTHING does well.

It is almost impossible to do a better job than what the Monolith guys have achieved with this game, which improves (and even makes it look outdated in several aspects) its predecessors, which were already geniuses for the respective release times.

A story that refocuses the tone of the franchise, but not only superficially, but in a deep and substantial way with the great mythology that ended up being established.

Memorable cast of characters (the best of the trilogy), with many layers of depth, thanks to its great development and well-cared dialogue.

One of the most complex and ambitious combat systems seen in any single-player video game in history.

The world is incredibly vast, very well crafted, full of views, heights, forks; things to do, which not only help to make the content of the game more robust, but also help to improve the internal lore for the world in question.

Memorable soundtrack; Yasunori Mitsuda never disappoints, with one of the best selections of melancholy-sad music ever seen in any video game, and with a lot of influence on the diegesis of the world, due to the theme of the flutes.

Tons of improvements to the interfaces and menus, as well as help to make the game more accessible to practically everyone (which is quite ironic, since this, along with the XCX, are the most complex Xenoblades).

In short, we are facing perhaps the game of the year 2022 in general terms, probably the best game of the entire Nintendo Switch console, and, roughly speaking, one of the best video games ever created.

    Many congratulations to Monolith Soft.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Muchas felicitaciones a Monolith Soft.

Played XB1 but never finished it. I really hated XB2 so much that I dropped it. XB3 will probably be the only Xenoblade game I will complete. The combat is so fun. it's what drew me into this game in the first place. The gameplay alone is worth trying this game out. Beware the early game on hard mode, it is extremely hard. They probably put no testing in the beginning at all.

There are many QOL improvements and for newcomers to the series more approachable tutorials. They have also added a training drill system if you need to practice or refresh your understanding.
They have combined battle systems from Xenoblade 1 and 2 which has resulted in a wonderful and thoroughly enjoyable hybrid.
The characters and world are to their usual high standard and I personally love the voice acting although of course this is going to be subjective..
I highly recommend for RPG/JRPG fans and you certainly get plenty of bang for your buck but I would advise doing your homework to the type of game this is especially regarding the battle system as it really makes up such a large part of the game-play. It requires some build tinkering but its not completely obsessive either. It's not for everyone as some have shown in their reviews on here already, crying about the price and experience but not knowing anything about the kind of game it is.
Oh and that soundtrack. This must be soundtrack of the year or at the very least nominated!
A very good starting point if your new to the series as the mechanics are explained well and the story is self contained without requiring knowledge from the previous two incarnations (although it would be a lie to say the Easter eggs from those don't enhance the experience). Already looking forward to Monolithsoft's next offering and don't forget its them that help Nintendo with the world building on the Zelda titles since Nintendo acquired them. Looks promising for BOTW 2's world I would suggest.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is a clear improvement over its predecessors in almost every way. It streamlines so much and avoids past pitfalls, though there’s still work to be done in terms of balancing the difficulty. There’s a grounded story here with a solid cast of characters, and the basic plot is much easier to digest. The world design exceeds past efforts with ease, and the implementation of Hero Quests is a game changer. While the devs have done an admirable job making the battle system easier to grasp, it feels like the series has fully explored and exhausted these core combat mechanics, signaling it’s time for the next game to change things up. As a whole, it stands as a phenomenal RPG with a one-of-a-kind sense of exploration you can’t find anywhere else.
