Dec 2, 2017Bad gameplay (is better the game play of the Xenoblade 1 from Wii and DS).
Bad history.
Bad translation to English.
Bad graphics.
If you want a JRPG you must play Xenoblade 1 or X. This game is not really for you if you have been play the 1st or X.
It is a game of 5 but it has DLCs (-1) -
Aug 4, 2018Pros:
- Incredible graphics
- Original story
Cons:
- Combat is extremely repetitive and grindy
- Some mechanics, like canceled attacks, are poorly named and/or unintuitive
- Cutscenes are too long and too plentiful
- Plays like a single player MMO
- Feels like a boring single player MMO -
Jan 1, 2018This game is weak .It is weak in so many aspects. The combat is boring and slow. The story-line is simple and blank. Characters are cringe. The game feels like a bad anime. I don't understand how an adult person can like this game.

Feb 20, 2018Time is limited, why should I waste my time on so many anti-human details? You can only summon one blade once and when you summon a blade, you have to see the blade shining several seconds. The main character is very naive and shallow, the Xenoblade Chronicles IP is ruined by the game.

Mar 10, 2023Cutscenes and character designs are cringe weeb s**t, gameplay consists of approximately 5000 convoluted systems that fail to interlock in any meaningful way, writing and voice acting are absolutely horrendous, and the game berates you with dumb tutorials every five minutes for ten hours plus. I really liked Xenoblade DE, but this is borderline unplayable.

Dec 2, 2017This is so bad it's good. Character interactions and combat dialogue are a joke and that's pretty much what the game is all about. Pretty sad if you ask me.

Game World Navigator MagazineMar 2, 2018A fight with an ordinary enemy whose level is slightly higher can drag on for minutes, especially if you’re fighting it alone. The combat itself is also rife with problems: sometimes main character even fails to draw his weapon, or locks onto a far-off enemy, while another already is eviscerating him in close combat. Nintendo Force MagazineFeb 26, 2018Despite some rough patches, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is a worthy addition to any Switch owner's library, especially if you have a predilection for RPGs and enjoyed either of the previous entries in the series. [Issue #32 – March/April 2018, p. 75]

LEVEL (Czech Republic)Feb 16, 2018Extensive and massive JRPG. Although with a rather cliché story and characters, it comes with a beautiful world and a fighting system growing more and more complex with every hour played. [Issue#282]
