Jun 21, 2020Simply the best. the technical issues are overall minor, and mostly involve a kind of slow load that isn't really that slow at all.

Jul 31, 2021The best tactical turn based game out there. Amazing to see it portably on the Switch. Slight graphical hiccups but 100% playable and I really enjoyed it.

Jun 14, 2020great game for the Switch. very pleased with it. pros of being able to play on Switch far outweigh the graphical downgrades.

Jun 22, 2022Long load times, and some downgraded graphics / frame rate hiccups. Otherwise, it’s still probably the greatest game ever made, and to have it available portable on my switch is a game changer. Haven’t turned my PC (200+ hours) on for about a year

Aug 23, 2023The game is fun, but has quite a few issues, mainly the random missions with no music/ dialogue, as well as the occasional crashes. Good game, just not optimized for the platform.

Nov 2, 2020The XCOM 2 Collection is a pretty welcome addition to the Switch library. It’s got a great reputation for a reason as being a key part of arguably the best tactical RPG series out there, and that reputation survives the game’s jump over to the Switch almost entirely intact.
-
Jul 27, 2020XCOM 2 Collection is the complete package, giving Switch players a chance to experience one of the best turn-based strategy games of all time. Not even a few technical issues can hurt the unparallel feeling of barely being able to succeed as you lead the resistance against hostile aliens.

Ninty Fresh MagazineJul 16, 2020Strategy fans who prefer their XCOM on-the-go should consider this a must-have, so long as a huge download and minor bugs aren't deal-breakers. [Issue 1#1, p.56]
