It's extremely limited, actual gameplay isn't consistent or what I'd call fun, but there is room to grow. It does happen to be the best wrestling game for the Nintendo Switch, but that's not saying anything. Playing this only makes me wish Fire Pro World was available for Nintendo. There's also the fact that this game is essentially just a port of Wrestling Revolution 3D with a few updates here and there. I have yet to find a feature that justifies me purchasing this versus the older game besides fact that it's on Switch, which I guess is enough for some people. Expand

The best wrestling game on switch, the gameplay is fun both by yourself and the roster of what I've seen looks great. Unlocking the roster is a big issue though, you have to do it through the career mode. I initially enjoyed the career mode but my wrestler just gets sick/injured too much to be enjoyable I've spent well over an hour wrestling so far in matches I've started with 0% stamina. The best wrestling game on switch, the gameplay is fun both by yourself and the roster of what I've seen looks great. I understand that the chaos is by design, but the gameplay becomes an awful slow slog where you wait to lose. Expand

To be sure, it’s not perfect, and to enjoy Wrestling Empire you need to be willing to overlook a lot. Provided you can do that, however, you’ll find that you’ve got one of the most enjoyable wrestling games in years at your fingertips.

Wrestling Empire offers the career mode most wrestling fans are hoping for from a WWE game, but the standard of action inside the ring lets it down. Not quite ‘so bad it’s good’, the wrestling action is just frustrating to play.

It is kind of impressive that one person was able to create a Switch wrestling game that runs well part of the time when two teams at a major pub couldn’t even pull that off. However, Wrestling Empire isn’t quite “so bad it’s good” territory, nor is it the worst. It’s basically the small indie wrestling company bringing in a guy with TV exposure to sell tickets. And with more competition coming in the short and hopefully longer terms for Switch wrestling games, it’ll be one of those “Oh yeah, that happened” games in short order.
