It's a really nice game. A manual would have been nice because it takes some time and research how things work and what symbols mean. The conqueror mode has a a good zoom function that allows you to zoom out a lot to get a good overview of the world. In the scenario's I would have loved to be able to zoom out a bit more. It's great to be able to play this game without IAP!!

This feels like playing „Historyline: 1914-1918” on the Switch and I love it. What’s missing is a multiplayer Option (online would be great but local can do it too).

The game is awesome, with formation units and brand-new landmarks! This is by far my favorite strategy game made for Nintendo.

Great game, just wish there was a better tutorial or at least explanation of How to do certain things.

Anyone who has played strategy on a console knows how hard the genre is to port over. In fact, I'd say it generally fails in every case. World Conqueror X is actually very playable and simple. I'm happy to say, they have completely obliterated the microtransaction element in the Switch version. Instead, we get to enjoy a game with at least 20 hours of base content, not counting the endless hours of open play.

If you like games like Hearts of Iron or any Paradox titles, I would recommend it. I just wish they had a pay version on tablet so I wouldn't have to deal with the cash grab over there. If you, like me, have played the android version and are wondering if this one is better, it is. Go for it.

If you’re looking for a more conventional strategy title to add to your Switch library, World Conqueror X is perfect for you. I think the game works best in handheld mode, as it’s not boasting the most visually appealing style.

World Conqueror X offers a lot of content for its modest eShop price, and history fans will enjoy playing out a story which sticks as close to real-life as possible. It's not the most welcoming gameplay system, though, so novices may want to look elsewhere.

World Conqueror X is a fun and challenging war game that is somewhat marred by a lack of proper tutorials and explanations. Riding out any early frustration will allow you to uncover a worthwhile strategy title that has many hours of content, albeit with not too much variation in gameplay.
