Great revamp of one of the best games in the Katamari series! I am so happy to finally be able to play this game on newer hardware! The gameplay is unique, as well as fun and addictive. The campfire stage is too difficult.
    The sun stage is boring.
    Stage selection is difficult.
Some stages have a short time limit.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Honestly, the game is somewhat fun but some of the levels are over the top difficult and unnecessarily condescending if you dont complete it within a small time limit. Really takes the joy out of the game if it's constantly being condescending towards you for failing a level. And there is definitely a time limit despite the creators advertising that there isn't one. I still enjoy the game somewhat, just disappointed that I spent $30 for it. Likely my last katamari game. You could say that We Love Katamari did for its predecessor what Tears of the Kingdom did with Breath of the Wild: It expanded on everything that made its prequel unique, while cementing its signature series' style for the foreseeable future. [Issue #66 – July/August 2023, p. 75]

This far outstrips the first game in content amount, and the approach to telling a new story that can encapsulate the wider scope is genius. We Love Katamari REROLL + Royal Reverie is a fantastic portable game and fits Switch like a glove. This is a hearty recommendation to all gamers and any lovers of the King's tight purple tights.

I may seem a little overzealous when I say this, but We Love Katamari is one of the best games ever made. Sure, the concept isn’t for everyone, but it does everything this concept has going for it perfectly. I think the series lost focus after this title which isn’t a surprise because this is the last Katamari game that the creator Keita Takahashi worked on. The other Katamari games are great do not get me wrong and I hope those get remastered too, but future games lacked the same innovation We Love Katamari had for the concept of rolling up junk. This is the top of the clump spirit folks, and I would suggest not missing it.
