While those who long for the button and joystick WarioWare games may be let down, this still feels like the kind of content you come to WarioWare for. A story about a wacky event, bizarre fever trip mini games, trial and error discovery, it’s all here with some well tracked motion controls. The content feels bizarrely minimal, but as far as party games are concerned, this comes through in a big way.

The myriad of mini games offered in the new WarioWare game can guarantee hours of fun and laughs, especially when played with friends.

Wario Ware is probably the TikTok of video games. With Move It! Nintendo has finally managed to conjure up a movement game with a party factor par excellence. Only a few problems with the controls caused small moments of frustration. But we can happily overlook that.

WarioWare: Move It! is a brilliant evolution of the kind of party game that families would gather around the Wii to play over a decade ago. The Switch’s massively superior motion control tech opens up a whole new world of possibilities, making for an incredibly silly game that will have you doubled over - either in laughter or because you’re attempting to clean a Koala’s teeth while squatting.

WarioWare: Move It! is a hilarious, bonkers game that shouldn’t be missed, and the best WarioWare title since Smooth Moves and the earlier handheld titles.

WarioWare: Move It! is a return to form (pun intended) for the WarioWare series that feels long overdue. It cleverly utilises the unique capabilities of the Joy-Con in ways that haven’t been done before, all while remaining both endearing and funny. While the simplicity of Party Mode is both its greatest strength and weakness, WarioWare: Move It! is easily WarioWare at its best and the most fun you’ll have looking goofy.

WarioWare: Move It! is a lovely game. The variety of challenges is really wide, while the Story is perfect for getting into the mood of the game. I would have appreciated an online multiplayer mode, but still, I had a lot of fun.

WarioWare: Move It! is a game very focused on local multiplayer, being an ideal party title to play with friends in the same room. If you like versatile games capable of making you sweat and laugh at the same time, this installment is a must. However, if you're more into solo play, you won't have as much content to enjoy.

While WarioWare Gold on 3DS remains my favorite for solo play, when it comes to multiplayer parties, it’s hard to overlook Move It! It’ll keep you returning to it as you discover all the microgames, experiment with every mode, and shoot for hi-scores. Expect lots of smiles and laughter with the time-proven format. Fans will want this entry in their libraries to enjoy the hysterical hijinks.

WarioWare: Move It! is a masterpiece of minimalist gameplay where a level is completed in a couple of seconds. Surprisingly, all of the more than two hundred challenges are quite different from each other and all of admirable quality, with none of them seeming to be added just to make up the numbers. The Story mode is very entertaining already, but the challenges designed specifically for local multiplayer are little strokes of genius. All this with a graphic design that highlights the devilishness of the production. At first it is not so easy to understand what is asked by the various mini-games, but it is all a matter of practice.

It’s all about using your Joy-Con controllers to mimic various poses for different mini-games, which is a blast but can sometimes get a bit confusing. The game’s story mode is short but packed with humor and voice acting, and the multiplayer mode is a real highlight for social gaming. Just a couple of downsides, like missing the mission system from previous games and some voice acting that doesn’t quite match up, but overall, WarioWare Move It! keeps the franchise’s quirky spirit alive and is a must-try for anyone who loves fast and crazy microgames.

The amount of great ideas one can see in WarioWare: Move It! It's totally overwhelming. On more than one occasion I had to stop for a moment to think how someone could have come up with something as brilliantly fun as putting you in a chicken position in a micro game about filling cavities. Entering the new adventure of Wario and company is like entering a candy store on another planet where everything has color and as soon as you try it, a huge smile appears on your face because of the way it surprises you. Of course, the product is not perfect because of the way in which it could have proposed something new at a structural level, but undoubtedly, its virtues far outweigh its defects, making it another very easy game to recommend to anyone. It's crazy how many great titles can only be enjoyed on Switch.

While I’m impressed by the technical tricks, WarioWare is just… really funny. It’s awesome fun making a fool of yourself in front of friends and loved ones. It’s even better dragging them into the mix. The variety of games is delightful, and the various poses are well-crafted. But they’re also funny. Honestly, if you take away nothing else from this review, my job is still done. WarioWare: Move It! is a hilarious good time and you’d be a fool to let it pass you by. Though this season is crammed with excellent games, the latest WarioWare title is perfect for that party-style vibe.

WarioWare: Move It! recovers the crazy and irreverent essence of the series with a new installment that places the entire weight of the gameplay in the JoyCon, and the absurd poses, with good results. Add boring multiplayer modes, from Story mode to various cooperative and competitive experiences, and you have pure FUN.

WarioWare Move It! it is one of the best variations of the long-lived Nintendo saga that has ever appeared. It is a chapter that has its roots in the successful motion control-based formula tested on the Nintendo Wii but elevates it to new heights, introducing some structural and content additions with a view to enriching and diversifying the experience. It is, without a doubt, one of the most exhilarating and entertaining multiplayer games currently available on the market.

With or without friends, WarioWare: Move it! will have you smiling at every turn. Featuring hundreds of new and quirky micro-games, Move it! gets you on your feet and moving once more by striking silly poses with the Joy-Cons, which feels (mostly) natural and accurate. It’s not the kind of game you can play for hours, but it will be one to return to any time you need a pick-me-up. Its sense of humor and goofy mechanics will stay fresh for years to come. Finally, this is the successor to Smooth Moves we’ve been waiting for.

Following Get It Together and Game & Wario, Move It is the WarioWare game I’ve been waiting for over the last 15 years, and it mostly delivers. The motion-controlled madness gives you plenty of fun and novel experiences, even if a few stinkers are in the mix. Regardless of those, WarioWare: Move It’s catalog is full of microgames I look forward to revisiting for months to come.

WarioWare: Move It! knows how to stay loyal to a formula and still bring something new and fresh that can keep players frantically scrambling for those minigames. Thanks to a myriad of creative and delightfully crazy challenges and to the sharp use of the Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons, WarioWare: Move It! is certain to become a reference in the Nintendo Switch catalogue when it comes to party gaming like no other.

Except for a few badly designed minigames, where you don't really know what to do, everything is precise. The details then get lost in so many design and visual differences in the minigames. The bottom line is that you'll have a great time with your kids and your friends. [Issue#332]

WarioWare: Move It! is a return to form for the barmy microgame curator Wario. With his group of familiar friends, odd concepts and motion controls, it's back to basics! There are some slight teething issues with motion controls, but one that may come with practice. A whole host of fun microgames, multiplayer modes and new ideas build on what's made the series a hit with fans. Those who shy away from motion controls would likely prefer Get it Together!, also on Nintendo Switch, instead. Fans of that classic WarioWare feel will be right at home with WarioWare: Move It!!

While Move It! lacks the diverse competitive options that made my siblings and me sink countless evenings into the GameCube's Mega Party Game$, it's still the best WarioWare title in years.

The minigames get even better in Party Mode, which is essentially a Mario Party clone within WarioWare: Move It! Players appear on a game board on which they roll dice to move, stopping every so often to compete in minigames. While I knew one person attempting to wiggle their body was funny enough, seeing up to four people do the task in tandem is nothing short of laugh-out-loud hysterical. As far as party games on the Switch go, WarioWare: Move It! makes a great case for being high on that list.

After several days of solo and multiplayer enjoyment, I have to admit that this isn’t the completest entry to the series, but I love how it takes advantage of the Joy-Cons tech coming full circle with what 1-2-Switch started at their launch. Some of the designs are so brilliant, that they turn this into one of the most unique party games I’ve ever played, which together with the interesting multiplayer variants, compensate for the lack of longer side activities.

WarioWare: Move It! represents another success in the saga dedicated to Super Mario's nemesis. The ingredients that have made the brand's fortune, including the bizarre art design, are back. In addition, the new mini-games entertain and surprise. Super fun in single player, sensational in multiplayer.

One of the main criticisms of Get It Together! was its lootbox-esque mechanics surrounding prezzies for in-game characters, which felt grindy for some players. However, these were used to level up characters for the Wario Cup and give single players something to work towards after beating the story; with Move It! there is less for individual fans to strive for post-story besides new high scores. Nonetheless, Move It! undoubtedly captures the heart of the franchise, and its return to movement-based mechanics is a triumphant one. Despite a few flaws, its selection of absurd microgames and myriad of different modes makes WarioWare: Move It! an ideal new entry in the series.

One of the best WarioWare games ever, as long as you’re playing with other people, with some of the most interesting use of motion controls since the Wii era.

It might not rank highly when compared to the rest of the series, but it proves that the formula is still fun enough to check out.

Wario is back with another series of fun microgames and extremely entertaining multiplayer. It's mostly more of the same, but executed in the best possible way, thanks in part to the creative and fun audiovisual style. Although it must be said that it does not bring any real innovation, and the registration of Joy-Cons isn't always on par.

The pose-based gameplay of WarioWare: Move It! sets it apart from previous entries and it all works out impressively well with mostly intuitive controls and a super-fun co-op Story mode. Wario's moves aren't quite as smooth as they were back in the day, though.

If you’re looking for more mini-games on your Nintendo Switch, or have fond memories of Smooth Moves over on the Wii, this one’s for you. Just make sure to stretch afterward, especially if you’re saddled with a bunch of squat poses.
