Featuring a gameplay experience that can feel both rather repetitive but also very rewarding, this sombre work also gives the player some rays of light in the form of looking after a child. So, and despite some repetitiveness and leaving some of the plot points open, Void Terrarium is definitely something that fans of Roguelikes should try.

Void Terrarium is tough, and it can be unforgiving with a lot of different systems to keep track of. But it's always a satisfying experience. It's not the greatest roguelike/Mystery Dungeon title I've played, but it might just have the most rewarding gameplay loop I've seen in the genre.

Overall, Void Terrarium is just an odd mix of ideas. Mystery Dungeon titles are popular, but this one sadly offers a weak example of mechanics in comparison to the broader genre. From there, being able to go full Tamagotchi with a girl in a glass bottle was intriguing and kept pushing me through the tedious and difficult dungeon crawling. A powerful story, moody soundtrack, and amazing aesthetic round out an experience that has a solid support structure, but less than awesome baseline gameplay premise.

With a beautiful atmosphere, loveable characters, and intuitive controls, Void Terrarium is a great dungeon crawler for those looking to dip their toes into the genre. Unfortunately, it lacks substance beyond that, rendering it a pretty unremarkable entry in the rougelike game canon.

The gameplay mix intrigues, but it’s weighed down by overemphasis on all too familiar rogue-lite tropes. I want to love Void Terrarium, but fine ingredients don’t always make for a satisfying dish if they aren’t balanced well. This game is too heavy-handed on tedium, and progress coming from random chance rather than skill.

Void Terrarium is an amazing game that is fun, addicting, and engaging, and I cannot recommend it enough. First, let's talk about theVoid Terrarium is an amazing game that is fun, addicting, and engaging, and I cannot recommend it enough. First, let's talk about the presentation. The visuals and sound design are amazing, with a gorgeous artstyle and great music. The story is a bit slow, but I found myself caring about the characters. It follows a robot as he helps take care of the last remaining human on earth. With the help of a computer ai, you nurse the little girl and care for her in a terrarium. This game can be difficult at first, but that's the point. Like the Disgaea series, the point of the game is to grind until the game becomes easier. In Void Terrarium however, it is a little different. Every time you enter a level, you start at level 1. You get stronger by crafting items to decorate the Terrarium with, which gives you permanent stat increases and other perks. You need to gather resources to craft those items, and you're not going to get very far without a little bit of grinding. Fortunately, you eventually unlock something similar to the item world from Disgaea, which makes it easier to gather resources. This game is a roguelike rpg like Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, and even if you haven't played other games in the genre like myself, you can still get into it, though it may take time to get into. NIS is known for having somewhat overpriced games, but I can happily say that this game is worth the price. The game is only $25, and I have played nearly 50 hours, and I haven't even beat the game! There are achievements that will add many hours to the game, and while there isn't a ton of content, the pretty much mandatory grinding will increase the hours and make the experience fairly lengthy, and I mean that in all the right ways.
