In principle, this is a fun game. Directing traffic is both relaxing and fun, at least for me.
Problem with Urban Flow is, that they added some unpredictability to how the cars move, which ruins a lot of the fun for me. For example, when you change a light to red, the car behind the currently passing one will almost always slip through, as if there was a yellow phase. Or if two cars are

Problem with Urban Flow is, that they added some unpredictability to how the cars move, which ruins a lot of the fun for me. For example, when you change a light to red, the car behind the currently passing one will almost always slip through, as if there was a yellow phase. Or if two cars are on collision course, it is quite likely that one of them stops. This leads to a lot of mistakes you make not mattering, while lots of things you do right will lead to crashes. So you can be sloppy, but you cannot get it right.
This can be frustrating, and I found it genuinely annoying.

Urban Flow is the best kind of puzzle game: one that is easy to pick up, difficult to master, and lovingly developed exactly for the hardware on which it runs. It's not perfect, but has so much to offer and it so well done in places it's easy to overlook the few warts. It is a welcome addition to the Switch library and a great example of why this console is so good at what it does.

Players looking for a decent co-op or party game should be pleased. Urban Flow is rather enjoyable in co-op. However, players looking for a single-player game should look elsewhere.

There’s no denying that Urban Flow succeeds at being a highly addictive casual game. I’m still not entirely convinced I haven’t played something exactly like it somewhere before, but even if I did, it probably didn’t pull off traffic management anywhere near as well as this game does.
