    I know it's meant to be a light-hearted, silly game and you might get a token chuckle once or twice, but really it's not that great. Way overhyped. One of those game you play with the mrs & have a laugh with her but deep down you just want the game to end

    I picked this game up the other day. The novelty of it wore off quickly, leaving a game with clunky controls and puzzles with very boring or very obscure solutions. I get the hype around "geese are jerks and fun to play as!" but what is left out of the discussion is how much "standing around doing nothing while the NPC progresses through their script" there is in the game.     Fun little game with a funny concept and charming presentation. Though nothing more than that. The actual gameplay is quite limited and the game is REALLY short (2-3 hours). Camera and controls can be problematic sometimes. It actually felt more like a free flash game that you would find on Newgrounds back in the day.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I have to give it a 6 for the price point. Given you can get undertale and shovel Knight before yacht club put in all those expansions in the game. But for 2hr Max of content maybe 10$-13$ not 20$ if it was at this price point It would be a solid 8. For the game it was good and witty, you really got to feel like an **** goose. I also really enjoyed the secret to do list trying to find out what can you do. But one of the downsides I found out there is no fail state it made the game out to be a walking simulator. Towards the end of the game when you are going to the pub if you keep throwing yourself at the burly man at the gate you will eventually get through. I did this to my first playthrough and it felt very clunky. I think there should be a punishment if you're merely still something after it was taken from you. There is a making of a great game but it's missing some stuff.… Expand

    Great graphics, great puzzles. Unfortunately way too overhyped and not worth its price. There's no replay value for this game.

    Playing as an annoying goose is an ingenious idea. The puzzles are fairly entertaining and it looks and sounds great, but boy, was it short. Makes you question the value for money equation.

    This game is a children's story for sociopaths-to-be. It is remarkably cute, very well designed, and incredibly creative. Somehow without much in the way of violence, its somehow more wantonly cruel than anything in the GTA franchise. Unfortunately, its way too short, and ultimately unsatisfying. Buy it on sale, do NOT pay full price for it.

    One of the most enjoyable games I've played in a while. This is a game that can be enjoyed by all ages. It's funny, it's silly, it's fun, it has lovely reactive music. My only criticism would be with the length of the game relative to its price tag. I loved the short self-contained story and the final todo list item was very funny, so I wouldn't necessarily want to see the game draggedOne of the most enjoyable games I've played in a while. This is a game that can be enjoyed by all ages. It's funny, it's silly, it's fun, it has lovely reactive music. My only criticism would be with the length of the game relative to its price tag. But perhaps the game needs second and third chapters in different settings? Regardless, I loved the few hours I spent playing this game.     I had much fun breaking the game with my brother as second player. Coop mode really is the true game, you can drive the NPCs insane this way. Also I got one million dollars for putting the rake in the lake.

However, the game is quite short, and it's ending is adorable, so it's worth playing through. I imagine more fun could be had playing this with a friend.

There's no way I could have known some of the things needed to be done to get a checklist. I would ask for my money back if possible.     Mandatory warning: Untitled Goose Game is extremely short. You'll complete it in an afternoon, and then probably be done with it. If you want a longer experience, you can probably add a few hours by tackling all the additional "missions" that open up at the end. Me, I didn't want to spoil the freshness by turning it into a frustrating tour de force. It's been a great three hours, and I want to remember it like this. You have to poke around a wee bit with each new level to figure out what you have to work with to complete your checklist, but then for the most part it's clear what you have to do, and it's just a bit of try, try again to get it done. Very nice music.

    The huge appeal of this game is that you're a goose and you're a jerk, and it's funny. Everything is well done, and the game runs smoothly; there was only one time I hit a glitchy spot where characters were stuck and I had to move deliberately to get them unstuck.

    Goose fans will probably hate me for saying this, but this game reminded me a lot of Pan-Pan. It's better than Pan-Pan, but it's similarly small, similar in the repeated-small-puzzles playing style, and there's even a sort of similarity in the animation style.

    This would be fun to play with others kibbitzing, including with kids. (Probably just a few spots might be too tedious for younger kids to complete on their own, and there's just a few places where you have to get the timing just right that might also be too annoying for younger kids.)

    There are several more post-game checklist challenges if you want to spend more time in this world (including basically 'do it faster'), and I'll probably work on those in spare moments here and there. Aside from this, I don't see myself playing this game again in the future (including the playing through fast challenges), though it would still be fun to watch others play. Playing through again just doesn't seem to be in the cards for me because a lot of the puzzling involves a form of learning how the world works, and the game unfolds too linearly for a new game to hold anything interesting.

    It's cute, it's clever, it's well done... but it should be more like 10 bucks.    … Expand

    I just like this game it’s cute it’s fun it’s wacky it’s stupid I think that adds some nice charm to it , it’s not perfect but for a Digital fun time waster it’s great

    Charming art and premise, but interactions are superficial and the game is woefully short. And definitely not as funny as reviewers would like you to expect. Save your money and watch a streamer play it, it's what the game was built for anyway.

    Its so dumb but that’s what makes untitled goose so great…
    Its almost like a hitman style puzzle game where youre setting up to scratch off a goal until the areas final goal pops up for you to complete and move on…
    My only gripe with this game is how repetitive it is…
    Untitled Goose ends right when Im getting tired of it…
    The tasks at the end of the day are essentially the same in every level… the tasks are all different… but the goal is always the same, figure out a way to distract this person just long enough to grab the thing you need and try not to get it stolen back or swatted away.. all that really changes is the challenge of each level.. theres a new hurdle each time…
    The game does lose its charm so im happy with its length..
    I don’t know if I could’ve taken another hr of this game..
    But again the fun is just in the silliness of being a goose.

    New idea which I like but the game is not worth $20 or $15. This game is very short, you can finish it in 2 hours. It's too expensive for a game that short. Not really worth it unless it goes on sale for $10 or even less.

    I don’t think I have ever had this much fun screwing around with people in a video game. The idea of playing as a goose and destroying people’s property, or making their lives miserable is just a grand idea and really was executed well. My GOTY for now

    For instance, in the above image the goose sneakily pulled the stool out from under the old man when he went to sit, one of the simpler tasks.     Unlike most people I didn’t have this game on my radar for a year. I must have missed the Indie presentation it debuted in. So I didn’t have hype building up for almost 12 months. I basically heard about this game the week it launched. It was on sale so I figured I’d try it since everyone seemed to be talking positively about it. I’m glad i did. The game was so charming. Some of them were a bit hard to figure out, but when we finally did it was very satisfying. Others weren’t as hard to figure out, but they were hard to actually pull off in practice. And I won’t spoil anything but the end of the game was cute and kind of surprised me. The game is pretty short, we beat it in one sitting. But more tasks unlock after you beat it so if you’re a completionist there is even more game time for you.… Expand

There were puzzles I wasn’t getting just because I assumed that games don’t behave that way, but my girlfriend could think of theseThis games is amazing. And it always worked! And the MUSIC oh my god. It’s the smartest game music I’ve ever encountered, hands down. It’s the equivalent of a live piano player at a silent film - just dynamically improvising along with whatever’s happening on screen. It works so well and it just makes the comedy work so well too. Let’s start with the visuals and feel, right from the start you can tell that this game is charming, looks great, and that the way the Goose moves, sounds, and picks things up is perfection and this perfectly complements the awesome and silly gameplay. You’re a Goose and you have a to do list in your Goose pockets (do gooses have pockets?) almost everything on this list involves messing with humans in creative ways, I don’t even want to give an example because it would take away from the absolutely wonderful experience that you will have if you go in with no guide or prior knowledge. Sadly I would’ve been able to give an example, if the game wasn’t so short, the entire main game took me about 3 hours with 5 main areas to travel through, although this is a major downside don’t let it drive you away from this game because what’s here is pure perfection. Also although I haven’t been able to play it yet the post game seems to be quite massive adding three or four pages to your to do list. Finally the music tops this game off in a beautiful way, it’s all made by one guy and it perfectly captures the silly stealth that this game has to offer. The main piano is brilliant and it makes you feel like you are screwing over these lovely villages even more.     GOTY. Enough said. I can't give it a 10 because the gameplay it's a bit tedious in some cases and the controls could be better. But the idea, the concept about it is awesome. You'll get the "HONK" Stuck in your head. Picture this... if Number 7 was a goose. Totally recommend.

It really helps to be able to move in any direction in this game, rather than a keyboard and mouse. Sure, you could connect a controller to the PC, but I’d still say the switch is a better idea because of portability. Other than that, gameplay is fun. Every function has a purpose. The puzzles make up most of the progression in this game, but you’re free to explore past areas and find your own fun after you’ve completed it. The game is a completely connected world, so no level screen here.     The game is quite small, and is probably only about two hours long or so to beat for the first time. If you do all the post-game content, including the time trials, it might run as long as six hours. In other words, this isn’t a game with an abundance of content; this is a game that is short and simple and then gets out of the way to let you play something else. Honestly, I felt like the time trials were maybe not something that belonged in the game, as while they worked with the game mechanically, the rest of the game was about puzzle solving while it was just about doing things as fast as possible. If you quit after doing all the puzzles the first time through, you’ve probably gotten your money’s worth, and while the extra challenges are a bit cute, the game feels like it wears thin by the end of it, as the game world is quite small and there’s just not all that much content to be had.

    If you like fairly easy puzzles that require a bit of lateral thinking, and the premise of the game sounds like fun, this is very likely to be up your alley. I thought that running through the game was a reasonably good experience, but it was, as noted, quite short, and the post-game content wears thin. I’d say you’re probably going to get two to three hours of fairly good times out of this game, so price your expectations accordingly.    … Expand

    Brilliant little game. This game is really unique and from the premise didn't sound half as fun as it is. The game itself is quite short, but it's a really fun time and I feel like it would get tiresome were they to have drawn it out more.

    When it boils down to it the game is essentially a puzzle game, having you figure out how to get up to no good and get things off your To-Do list. Music is intertwined with the game play and your actions will be mirrored with the lovely piano sound track that helps set the mood. Controls are easy to understand and comfortably introduced for anyone lucky enough to start the game.

    It's a creative experience and it gives you a satisfying ending. The novelty of the mechanics last about as long as the game, If the game was any longer I believe it would have negatively impacted the journey. So in that sense, it's just right. A neat little package that is welcoming to anyone who picks up the controller.

    I enjoyed my few hours with it and it may be worth picking up on sale.

    There is very little reason to replay this game once completed and its a bit expensive for a couple of hours of mildly entertaining but forgettable gameplay

It is relaxing, fun, cute, funny, easy and it isn’t super long. Plus once you’re done (before you ring the bell) you can just go and explore the little English town. I love messing with the gardener and terrorizing the small boy. I also love putting everything I can find into the pond. The music is fantastic, I purchased the theme on iTunes along with the goose honk text tone. You can get this done in a few hours but I took my time so it took me a few weeks (I don’t play games on a daily basis). If you love geese, small English towns settings, relaxing music and **** **** up like I do, this is your game.… Expand

    This game was really fun and finding out puzzles and getting them crossed off was rewarding. I do think that there should’ve been some sort of hint system when stuck for too long. There was 1 or 2 in the pub I couldn’t figure out and I despise going to google or YouTube. Not saying handholding but after not completing anything for a while maybe an extremely small extra hint

    Untitled Goose Game is the epitome to minimalist style with basic colors and very undefined features, but it pulls it off. it's an easy game to play but the tasks are challenging at times. It's a fun short story set around a good making mischief in a small town. Add all that to a light-hearted piano score and you get a solid 7.

    This game is extremely over rated. I regret buying it honestly. Frustrating game play, being pushed around by people and unable to control your character. The game is very rudimentary and over priced even on sale. Being a goose is comical at first but quickly loses its charm.

    The consept was interesting and there was some charm and humor to doing pranks. However, the game was very slow paced. I didn't always find it easy to understand what needed to be done to complete a task. In such moments, nothing happens, the music stops and it stops the moment of the game. This game didn't quite meet my expectations.

    Loved it. Beautiful, calming, charming. The puzzle solving can be frustrating at times, but the feeling of overcoming wacky controls and annoying villagers is more than enough to make up for it. I just wish I got to see more of the world and meet more people to honk at. 10/10

    Pretty fun game, but it gets a bit repetitive sometimes. I was hoping for a kind of game to just do whatever and mess around for fun in, but the game becomes tedious, and a lot of the solutions are not clear at all (at least for me). Still great game, had fun playing.

However, once the game is fully complete, there won't be much left to play the game for meaning that it might get boring for players who just want to complete games instead of repeating yourself time after time.

    The elements of this game all work together wonderfully to charm and amuse you through its 3-or-so hours. From the vibrant art design to the charming characterisation, this British town is ready to hate this goose with a passion. This game just holds so much in every inch of its world and the way it comes together makes it so hard to not completely fall in love.

There's some real appeal in using an otherwise innocuous animal sowing chaos in a sleepy village, and it helps that the results aren't violent at all.
