Dec 16, 2019I could not experience the game on the Nintendo Switch a lot because the button layout does not make sense, it is not intuitive and breaks the game. I hope the controller button layout gets fixed in future updates.

Nintendo Force MagazineApr 30, 2020It's immensely satisfying! It's no wonder this series has reached its fourth installment. [Issue #44 – January/February 2020, p. 71]

Nov 4, 2019Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince may be the best of the Trine series, and it certainly deserves your consideration. If it’s been a while since you’ve played Trine 1 or 2, by all means, dig in. But if you’re just now getting into the series via any of the multiple packages available, you may start to feel burnt out before finishing this particular chapter.

Oct 28, 2019Despite the relative simplicity of Trine 4’s early puzzles, I really enjoyed my time with the 7-hour adventure. The game looks absolutely gorgeous with a fantastic variety of interesting environments to explore that are absolutely bursting with life. The story won’t be remembered this time next year, but it’s a fun, light-hearted tale that really brings the whole adventure together. The physics-based puzzle-platforming is better than ever and it still feels fun to shoot, swing and levitate your way through lengthy levels filled with puzzles. Trine 4 is worth your time and if you’ve never played a game in the series before, this is the perfect point to jump in.
