Good port, good framerate, no bugs.

Do not believe the idiots who give a rating of 0 or 1. Once again I repeat - a great port.

It's a wonderful port! I love this game in PC and I'm loving play it in my Switch. More than 80 hours of play, I extremely recommend this title for people who loves Diablo and etc.

One of the finest ARPG titles has now landed in Switch, featuring an appealing exagarated art style, deep class customization and lots of content for the price point. The technical quality of the port is great too, with only occasional dips when a lot is going on on screen

Easy recommendation for ARPG fans and those looking for an action game that is not very commital - boot it up,

A great port overall. UI overhaul for handheld is nicely done. My only complaints are that the “charge” system is unexplained per class, inventory management is inconvenient (you can’t sell items in your pet’s bag while at a vendor, have to manually move it all over first) and basic attack targeting is hit-or-miss (badum-tss) in its implementation.

I loved the many hours I spent playing Torchlight (both 1&2) on PC, years ago. I got it again for Switch after seeing how great Diablo 3 was on it, and so far I haven't been disappointed.

Graphically, it has aged well, and the color palette, chunkier art style, and general "personality" are a refreshing change of pace from Diablo, and it runs smoothly. Combat is still fun, equipment and

Graphically, it has aged well, and the color palette, chunkier art style, and general "personality" are a refreshing change of pace from Diablo, and it runs smoothly. Combat is still fun, equipment and skill mechanics are both broad and deep, and it's overall as great as I remembered.

I will say that - especially after a lot of hours in D3 - there are some minor annoyances that crop up just enough to stop this from being an amazing Switch port: equipment management is a little clunky considering how many item types and stats you're looking at, when increasing stats upon leveling up there's an obnoxious bug which shows the wrong stat (i.e. shows the text/details for Strength, but if you hit A, it will actually level up Dexterity), and every so often the combat targeting seems to get confused about which enemy is closest. Hopefully some of these get ironed out, since I'm basing this on having played it the day it's released.

Overall, still a lot of fun and a very well-made game, and a great fit for the Switch.

No problem here...the devs have patched this thing up nicely. Some reviews here came after its release which from what I understand had a few bugs. I bought this on sale a couple months after its release and all is well. Runs very fluidly, with addictive Diablo 3-style gameplay, great upgrades and loot to be found. On my first time trying it, my Switch battery died before my interest did, and then had to bust out the power bank to keep going. If you're looking for a Diablo experience on Switch, don't pay $60 again for Diablo 3 on Switch, pay $20 (or less if on sale) for Torchlight 2 and get a better experience. Expand

Avid Diablo fan here. Bought D3 numerous times in numerous platforms it's a blast. Also went for D1 redo and that was sweet. I was enticed to download Torchlight 1 redo with promises of a D1 type experience but I didn't. Saw that T2 hit switch and bought it... For only $20 no less. Loving T2 it's new, I can play handheld while I watch football or my woman watches her shows. it's fast fun and runs super clean. No couch play unfortunately but the local multiplayer works perfectly and most people I know have a Switch and $20. Still nothing out there like Diablo 2. Expand

    Exelent game and good port.
FPS about 30, this is not very good as I like, but already playable.
It's my first ARPG on console, I played Torchlite 2 on PC and can say, that inventory management is good. After one hour playing I'm used to it.

The game plays like a dream on the Switch, controls are excellent, graphics are very good. This has become our families go-to game for multiplayer. Torchlight II was amazing on PC but it truly SHINES on switch!! Controls and menus are intuitive, graphics are just as good as PC, indepth class customization, and an excellent story! In short, this is the multiplayer RPG we've all been waiting for on switch!

Great port. Good font sizes, great controls, saves move automatically from the demo version to the original. The devs made it perfect for Switch.

Play on my switch oled and it’s a fun experience. Game mechanics are simple and intuitive to pickup. Played > 10 hours so far and definitely one of my favourite on the switch.

If you can brush aside the lack of single console multiplayer, Torchlight II remains an addictive action-RPG experience. The combat system isn't needlessly complicated, but it remains engaging due to the ease with which you can access each of your powers and the depth of the skill trees for each class. The loot is plentiful, and the ability to sell or use everything almost immediately means that you aren't going to pass up loot like you would in other titles. Whether you play alone or with friends, Torchlight II on the Switch is absolutely fun, and its low asking price makes it hard to resist even if you're knee-deep in similar titles.

When the work on display is such a marvelous exercise in customization, exploration and combat and on top of that, even benefits from a top class conversion for the Nintendo Switch format, there's not much more to add other than an emphatic recommendation for players to get their hands on this work.

When compared with the plentiful amount of action-RPGs already on the Nintendo Switch Torchlight II can seem like a bit of an afterthought. But while its story has a poor endgame, it offers a cute aesthetic with plenty of charm. Panic Button has done a great job once again with porting, and those new to the genre will find plenty to entertain at a fair price.
