A well-written narrative puzzle adventure that shines through the darkness with its great graphics, fun puzzles, and interesting story telling.

You went spend a lot of time in the escape room puzzles of The Star Named EOS, but the time you will spend there is fun, creative, and captivating.

Like a photo, The Star Named EOS is a fleeting moment in time. In the all-too-short playthrough, it gave us so much to love: between the art, the story and the puzzles we can’t choose just one highlight. And once the credits rolled we already wanted to take another turn. Puzzle games don’t have the best replay value, but thanks to the tricksy teasers and compelling mother-son narrative, we would be delighted to return to this one. There’s not much more for us to say here — a photo is worth a thousand words.

Me being sad at having finished The Star Named EOS is a good indicator of how I feel about it as a whole - I enjoyed it and wanted more. It knows what it wants to be: a cozy heartfelt little puzzle game and it succeeds in being exactly that.

The Star Named EOS delivers on creating a world basking in colorful delight, but is shadowed by a lack of gameplay direction. For those who don’t mind the look past that, the game is sure to please those who love an atmospheric experience within the world. With captivating music and animation, The Star Named EOS brings forth a story that's told through its character and design.

The Star Named EOS has a fairytale vibe to it like the start of a Pixar movie, but the same breezy pace and lightness of detail can also make the story feel flat or overly sentimental. Still, there’s a pleasant and affecting time for those who can slow down and enjoy it.
