The Lara Croft Collection brings two excellent games to the Switch in superb form. Only the lack of online multiplayer keeps me from climbing up the nearest mountain and shouting about these, but I’ll gladly scamper up a hill and give a solid yell. If you’ve never played these games before, you really should. And this just happens to be a fantastic way to do so. Whether exploring alone or pulling a friend or three along, you’ll have an awesome time with this scorching duo of games.

When it comes to co-op games, you can't do much better than The Lara Croft Collection. It's an absolute blast whenever you play it with a friend whether you're working together or laughing your asses off while blowing each other up with carefully-placed bombs.

Although the two games that compose the Lara Croft collection are actually Tomb Raider spin-offs, they provide a local multiplayer experience that will entertain arcade-action fans and achievement-seekers alike. They’re also a reminder of what we used to love about the Tomb Raider games.

Maybe not what players hoped to find as a debut of the legendary Tomb Raider games on the console, The Lara Croft Collection sure takes what Switch does best: It's local multiplayer. The Guardian of Light and The Temple of Osiris comes packed with the DLCs for an accessible price, giving the players a different take, but not less interesting on the action, puzzles and platform that the series are known for.

Despite the slight problems in the second installment, we still have two excellent twin-stick games here. I loved these games back then and still do today because they play just so wonderfully and offer a great mix of shooting, puzzling and platforming. I wish there had been more of them afterwards.

Two fun and action filled games! The first Tomb Raider game released for Switch should delight both new and old fans of the series.

The Lara Croft Collection is not to be overlooked. This bundle encompasses one great and one decent arcade action adventure, of which twin-stick shooter and score attack fans will find plenty of enjoyment. Although both games are worth experiencing in multiplayer if possible, Guardian of Light, at the very least, deserves playing even solo, and is a reminder of what Tomb Raider is all about, captured expertly in a style that is positively different, yet respectfully reminiscent of the classic series. Technical issues remain, but it's just a joy to have these ported to a modern platform. Now, with things quiet on the Lara Croft front, surely, it's time for that long overdue third game in this mini-series.

The Lara Croft Collection sees two excellent Tomb Raider spin-offs hit Nintendo Switch in an excellent package that offers up plenty of puzzles, slick combat, and fun local co-op action. There are a few performance issues in Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, and the lack of online co-op for both games is a shame, but overall this is still a great double pack that we recommend picking up. They may initially look like watered-down takes on the main franchise but make no mistake, these are two of Lara's very best outings.

Still, the bottom line is that both Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris and Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light are good games, regardless of whether you’re playing solo or (locally) with a friend. They were a breath of fresh air for the series when they first released a decade ago, and The Lara Croft Collection is a great opportunity to discover them, whether it’s anew or for the first time.

The Lara Croft Collection is a competent porting of the original titles, but it lacks any additional content that would've made this the definitive edition of these games.

Overall, the puzzles are pleasantly challenging, the combat is refined, and the stories are action-packed style journeys that hold true to the Tomb Raider series, despite not being mainline titles.

It could have included more content, but still is a great choice for Lara Croft fans.

In short, the Lara Croft Collection for Nintendo Switch has its ups and downs. Lara Croft and The Guardian of Light is a brilliant experienceIn short, the Lara Croft Collection for Nintendo Switch has its ups and downs. Lara Croft and The Guardian of Light is a brilliant experience that has aged very well, with its clever puzzles and immersive gameplay. However, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris falls short with its excessive focus on action and combat at the expense of challenging puzzles. The lack of online co-op in Temple of Osiris on Switch is also a disappointment considering its availability on other versions. Despite the flaws, the collection still offers the chance to relive the nostalgia and enjoy the essence of the adventurous Lara Croft from the comfort of Switch, as well as allowing new fans to be introduced to the series.
