    Definitely give the multiplayer a try. Couldn't be less unfun! You don't have to have played the original. Listen to what I say for real!

    Great game. Exactly what you would expect from a game about escaping prison. The only complaint I had was the little amount of people playing online on the switch version and, well I wish there was a greater variety in items.

    This game is extremely fun... Definitely recommend it. You should definitely add this game to your collection. I've played it for so long.

    The Switch version of this game is unacceptable, this game is really fun, when it actually decides to work. First of all when ever I boot up the game I am forced to wait a really long time so a screen can pop up, the screen is a Internet connection thing I do not understand why it makes me wait that long just to log onto the Internet. Then multiple times recently I have just been playing and then a error has occurred message keeps popping up which boots me back to the Switch home menu. What? It should not be doing this it has done it three times and it was perfectly fine yesterday. This game is really fun and I really like it but there is something wrong. I don't know if it is just me but it needs to be fixed.… Expand

    While it's a great idea to bring the series to a more broad portable device, (Nintendo Switch) I really wish they had either gone with the original, Or neither. One of the main things that drew me in to the original was it's art style, It was really nice having an 8-bit protagonist again, In a Zelda style adventure. And the character customization was great, It was simple but effective. I just did not find the way they "modernized" the game a good selling point, In fact it just screamed cheap modern remake more than anything, But I know plenty of people like the Escapists 2, So I have to give them credit where credit is due. If you like the Escapists 2, And have some extra money lying around, Get this. If you didn't care for the Escapists 2 in the first place, You can join me and hope we get a port of the original.… Expand

    The Escapists 2 is a pretty fun game, however, it's much funner when played with friends.

    This game is outstanding! Great 16-bit like graphics. Very challenging,great online and offline multiplayer! why give it it a 8/10 well I play on Nintendo Switch and it crashes a lot. i found out a way to make it crash less! make one custom character and one or two save files per prison. it will crash less.

    This game was very good for the first few hours I played it. After that my game started experiencing crashes so I decided to reset my data. It worked again for the first few hours then the problem happened again! I say don’t get the game until they update it (or if there’s a good sale for it) because the crashes basically make the game unplayable.     not as good as teh first escapists game it has a multiplayer which is good also the small prisons you can escape in coop are good

    This game’s based on a good concept but its realization is not that good. It becomes very boring, repetitive, tedious. Makes you waste your time on many occasions. Tutorials are not good enough, many things are unexplained. It’s based on trial and error. It’s pretty unfair and punishing at times. If you get caught you loose every crafted item in possession , so better stash your stuff. InThis game’s based on a good concept but its realization is not that good. It becomes very boring, repetitive, tedious. Makes you waste your time on many occasions. Tutorials are not good enough, many things are unexplained. It’s based on trial and error. It’s pretty unfair and punishing at times. If you get caught you loose every crafted item in possession , so better stash your stuff. In some levels, common areas are placed far between so you’ll need to walk a little and waste precious time or get punished by the guards . Crafting is very tedious , you’ll have to be lucky scavenging items and then crafting something while the clock is ticking. Don’t expect to escape immediately or fast. Some levels are pretty slow ,repetitive and tedious. Personally I would not explore every prison. I’m already bored and tired.… Expand

    It is worth to play if you can look past its problems and flaws and don't expect some best game ever kind of game here

    As things stand, for all its excesses, The Escapists 2 is nonetheless a can’t-miss game on Switch. With a delightful pixel-style that fills the screen with details, it’ll be hard to take your eyes off the screen as you make your way through all the different prisons on offer. Most of us might never have the, uh… joy… of breaking out of prison, but The Escapists 2 does a swell job of showing us just how entertaining it can be!

    In a move that doesn't happen often these days, I'm going to go against the mainstream critics and fans and say The Escapists 2 is a Switch game that doesn't even deserve a first look, let alone a second. If I want to feel the opposite of entertained, and instead an emotion bordering on physical pain, I'd save my money and throw myself down the stairs. My home has two flights, one for each game in this inexplicably popular series. Good news! I never have to play either again, and I can get the same feeling by hurling myself down one of the two carpeted inclines in my own home - for free.

    The Escapists 2 made me escape away from my Switch for a while. It simply made me feel bad and confused! But if you like complex micromanagement and doing time... well dig right in, inmate. This game truly is great for people who simply - don't like it simple.
