Yep zelda is a great game , but one of my favorite rpg's come's to the switch
Just imagine ,running trough the big world just on a small screen on a plain
It pretty much has everything that the other console version have
Only controls are a bit hard in the beginning
That doesn't take anything away from the 10 ,the game is just so good
    A must buy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of the best games of all time finally comes to a Nintendo platform. While it is nowhere near its PC and other console versions in terms of performance, Skyrim on Nintendo Switch still has just about everything from the legendary Elder Scrolls game. I've put in about 200 hours so far, with at least 50 of those in handheld mode, and I've not encountered a single major glitch or bug. It's portable Skyrim, I can't complain for the most part. My only problem is that there are still a lot of glitches in it. Im fine with them leaving in fun glitches that don't break the game, but at one part I walked into a pillar and got stuck for 15 minutes until I quit with out saving. FINISH YOUR GAME BETHESDA!

15 years of portable gaming, this was what we've been dreaming of. Spent hours just staring into snowy night forests and mountains and fighting feels like childhood fantasy. I would give just 9/10 if big consoles would run this with 60 fps, but they don't. Just this one game is a reason to go with Switch.

In addition, the mods would be a great addition but Bethesda chose not to include them. So the overall package is vanilla Skyrim with the DLC included and slightly improved graphics (that's why I can't give it a perfect 10); On the other hand, its great to have one of the best games of all time on the go. If you are a Skyrim veteran, you're definitely going to enjoy revisiting the world of Skyrim one more time and on the go, but keep in mind that it's the exact same game you played back in 2011. Glitches will still be found like in any version of the game, but my score is based on the port, rather than the game itself. We already know what game Skyrim is.

The World is full of hidden dungeons, caves and side quests! Along with that it has a ton of weird and wacky enemies ranging from Giant Spiders To Yetis! But The Main Enemies you want to hunt down are BIG and scary DRAGONS.When you kill a dragon you take its soul and you can use these dragon souls to gain new shouts like become ethereal witch means that you become a phantom and you cannot do damage or take damage but its loud so enemies will hunt you if you use it. And On The Topic Of Shouts There is also magic! Magic Is An Important Thing In The Game, It Can Give elemental damage or heal your wounds. So Mastering The Art Of Magic is really Important! BUT You Only Have A Certain usage of magic before it runs out. There are Some ways to restore your magic two of them being waiting around or using potions. On The Subject Of Potions They Can Do Many Things Such as Healing Yourself Restoring Magicka And Stamina Along with other effects. Potions Are Some Of The Many Items You Can Carry And Use In Skyrim. You Can Pick Up Damn Near Anything Like plates bottles wine a Toothy Keys Papers Pen ect ect ect ect. But Almost everything you pick up has weight to it. You Have a set number of weight you can carry before going really slow. To Lower Your Weight Sell Your items or drop them. You Can Get Items By Exploring Doing Side Quests Or going into dungeons/caves. This Leads right into combat. the combat in skyrim is very interesting because to be good at combat you need to predict your enemies moves and block them now there are many different types of weapons in skyrim like double handed weapons the double handed weapons are greatswords or giant battle axes now double handed weapons do more damage than one handed weapons one handed weapons have varieties like daggers swords and axes. And also maybe the hardest to use as your main weapon in skyrim is the bow now the bow does best for killing dragons but not like main enemies. To Attack Simply press zl and zr respectively. In The Story Of Skyrim You Are A Dragon born Which Means Your The Only one who can stop dragons. So When A The Dragons Awaken your going to be busy. But what if your in trouble or need to hurt around you can press L To Run But This Lowers Your stamina. Stamina is important because It allows you to run and do super attacks along with other crap. To Refill Your stamina You Need To Wait Or drink specific potions. Now You Have Explored long and hard have tons of items killed monsters and done other crap! Now you probably leveled up! You Can Select 3 skills magicka Health and stamina, upgrading health magicka and stamina respectively. Along with that you get another skill Point to upgrade anything you wish from stealth to restoration to combat! From there you have many smaller skills to upgrade. To Upgrade some of these skills level up the said skill to the level needed by using that skill. To Level up You need to get exp. You Can Get exp From Monsters and side quests. So That's The Overview of skyrim In General, But There are some switch exclusive Stuff. For one you can tap any amiibo to get items in skyrim. There is also Some Zelda gear also. And that covers it. The Graphics on the switch version look beautiful and detailed. And it runs at1080p Docked and 720p Handheld. Which Is A downgrade from the ps4 Version But That's The Very Small Sacrifice you have to make for handheld play. The Controls Are Responsive and have a good feel to them which makes it fun. And Finally The Music Is Pretty Good Not The Best Ever But Its Not annoying.

There are some problems though with skyrim and we will quickly run through them.
It's hard to have to constantly save so you don't lose all of your your progress
Skyrim also has very touchy fall damage like if your on a horse and your going down hill you have to be careful because one little drop and you and your horse are dead
When your trying to climb a hill you cant its impossible your only chance is to use a horse ps that's how you get the zelda gear early is by using a horse to climb up a hill
There is also stupid enemies use magic while your getting slaughtered by other enemies

Even With Some Problems Skyrim Is Still A Wonderful Game That Is Fun And Has A Ton Of Stuff To Do. Skyrim Has Never Been Better Now With added portability. This game gets a 95%. I was hoping, that the bugfixes for PS3 and PC would have any influence on the Switch Version, but it looks to me, that the developers startet from scratch. When I first got Skyrim for Ps3, it was so unplayable, that I put it away for almost a year, until the worst issues had been patched. I am that close to do the same with the Switch version. Looking on an open pleateau gives you eye cancer, because you almost exclusively see low-res vegetation textures symetrically plastering the ground.
Right now, I would suggest to play the PC Version, that way you get best graphic quality, performance, Mod support, and least amount of bugs. Skyrim on my Macbook Air is way more fun to play, and that says a lot, cause that thing is no game-graphic beast at all.

I am disapointed. For being a full-priced game for 60 bucks, it is a slap in the face.

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is without a doubt my favorite game of all time. The role-playing possibilities are incredible in such an accessible RPG.

Unfortunately, this rendition of the game is absolutely the WORST way to play it. Skyrim on the Switch had so much potential taking a living, breathing Elder Scrolls world and transport it on the go. Bethesda chose to focus 100% of their time attempting to downscale the game to the capabilities of the Switch rather than fix any of the bugs that have plagued the game since launch. Furthermore, in the process they have seemingly created more bugs. I purchased a digital copy of the game and the game consistently crashes to the home screen. The problem has become worse and worse the longer I play. It should be said that the industry typically gives Bethesda a pass for their buggy games, but this is the breaking point. Graphical or AI bugginess can be good for a laugh, but I can't play the game if it won't keep from crashing to the Nintendo home screen.

After re-downloading the software with no resolution, I actually went so far as to initialize my entire Switch console for resolution, but the issue continued after only 4 minutes of play in the open world. Were this the original PC copy or any of the Remastered Special Edition, I'd be giving this game a 9.5/10 , but due to bugginess in a 7 year old cash grab for a Bethesda I've got to drop the score by an incredible amount.

    1/10 unplayable

Bethesda is the worst game developer. None of the known bugs were fixed. But that was not enough for them and they added even more. Every 5 minutes or even more often, you can hear audio noise. 60EUR for a broken game, that's so adorable.

I don't know whats more insulting, the fact that Bethesda are so complacent here by refusing to fix this now, ancient game. Or the fact they just want to monetize every square inch of it, on every single platform available. Even more insulting is the Amiibo Zelda loot chests...

Skyrim is a great game, no denying that - but its time to stop beating this dead horse Bethesda and finally work on Elder Scrolls VI. If you're going to re-release games like this on consoles, you need to make sure the gamebreaking bugs are fixed first.

If you have played this game on PC, then you're probably gonna have a bone to pick with the graphics. I was personally amazed at how well they have managed this port. Gameplay is just as I remember, with genuinely no slowdown. My only problem is the price of it here in UK (I work at a games store so I got a fairly generous discount). I say jump in if you want a nice healthy dose of nostalgia.

....on PC and the Xbox One. Those versions, particularly PC, epitomize Skyrim's greatness. The Switch version, while obviously the same great game, suffers from two problems that make it virtually unplayable: horrifying input lag and poor framerate. The latter simply makes the Switch version seem graphically inferior compared to the power of the other platforms. The former though...absolutely terrible. I couldn't believe how bad the lag was even with the Switch not docked. I would guess it's around 80-100ms, maybe more. Simply looking at items on the ground to pick them up was difficult, let alone trying to hit a moving target with a bow or spell. I will say this is with a cartridge version; I can't speak for digital. But I returned that cartridge version after less than an hour of suffering.

Skyrim is an amazing game and I really, really, really wanted to love it on the Switch. But the devastating input lag, poor framerate and graphical inferiority just ruin it on the Switch. Again, I love Skyrim and I definitely love the Switch, but this iteration of Skyrim is so rough around the edges it cuts your freaking hands. I wholeheartedly recommend both Skyrim and the Switch, but stay far away from Skyrim on the Switch.

The battery life is around one hour for 40 percent which that is less than the legend of Zelda breath of the wild at three hours. Also there are no switch unique bugs but the same old bugs and in my gameplay there are more common than on pc. Finally the price is for a games that was released in 2011. It may include the dlc but if you have and Xbox 360 you can get the game of the year edition for only 20 dollars. In conclustio I think that if you have never played skyrim its is something that you must put time and effort in to which will pay off. I constantly find myself comparing this game to the old Might and Magic games (6, 7 and 8 in particular) and finding it to be inferior to those games in most ways. The story has taken a back seat to open world freedom to the point that it is hard to deem the story as anything more than a throw away. Controls are clunky, at best. Leveling follows the Final Fantasy 2 model, which was bad then and is still bad now, unless you love doing tons of repetitive tasks that don't advance the story or provide any meaningful advancement for your character. Inventory management is clunky, and selling off your spools from a dungeon crawl will require visiting 5-10 different vendors, often requiring traveling to multiple cities. Dungeons themselves are linear paths with no puzzles. The world is big, but is fairly empty and contains nothing particularly interesting to look at. The world is brown, white, and dark green...that's it. The art team seems to have been trying to emulate Nordic forests in winter, and has some how managed to build a big empty world that is less appealing than those forests in reality (and yes, I have been to Scandinavia and Russia in winter).
If you are really interested in playing a western RPG on Switch, then this game is fine. If you are looking for a great game, look elsewhere.

The controls are just infuriating, and it's preventing me from enjoying what this vast world is offering. Picking up an item is ridiculously difficult with pointing. And most importantly, INVERT THE X-AXIS! It makes no sense to be able to only invert one axis.

    Bref, je recommande !

    - you are FORCED to travel around different shop owners to sell your merchandise. If you do not do it, you will be always overweighted;
    - all the caves are almost the same. You follow the route, fight the zombies, come to the final boss, pull the lever and appear near the entrance. Taps are visible, money not a big deal there, also learn new words. Ok. Same BS as in Oblivion except for shouts;
    - physical issues. It's just a disaster. Objects fly around, sometimes you need NoClip cheat to fly through the door. Thousands of threads on forums about that issue and NOTHING done to fix it in patches;

The story is boring. The game is just boring. Morrowind was the whole new world. In Oblivion you at least could upgrade your athletics and acrobatics. Here you can crawl mountains without training anything, here you are slow. You should be a werewolf to run faster. Falling almost never causes any damage.

the idea that this can be brought anywhere is neat, but something to keep in mind. If playing on battery, it'll probably only last a couple hours, if that. Skyrim dropped the battery fast. Also, there's quite a bit of glare on the screen, so dark areas are really hard to see. So you can crank up the screen brightness, but that of course drains the battery even faster. Otherwise, if you're just going to play with it plugged in all the time, you might as well play it on a laptop or nvidia shield.

If you like the idea of playing skyrim in the palm of your hands but don't travel with it as often, I suggest one of Nvidias different shield options which mostly needs your wifi connection to play games via steam library, but you'll have your PC's horse power and all the bells and whistles.

I'm sure it was way more impressive back when it came out than it is now, and it was definitely interesting to see just how much inspiration Breath of the WIld took from it (though I'd still prefer Breath of the Wild).

I'll just list a few things I really liked about this game:
-there is an insane amount of quests in this game, and thankfully, they aren't just cumbersome fetch quests (though a few of them are). Too many of them boil down to "go to this location and kill these guys then come back for a reward," but even though actually completing the quests boils down to repetitive tasks, the mini-plots you're treated to for completing those quests are very often entertaining, unpredictable, and do more to flesh out Skyrim's rich lore.
-the amount of locations and unique characters you can interact with is genuinely staggering
-unpredictable things are happening to you constantly. You might be on one quest, but then suddenly you'll witness a random NPC murder another random NPC which throws you into another quest that you want to watch play out. You may walk into a town that you've come to a hundred times before, only for somebody to confront you with something you may have seen earlier in the game but never given a second thought to. You may go to bed in an old tavern only to be kidnapped by a freaky murder cult and forced to do work for them. There's really no telling what could happen to you next.

Those are the things that I enjoyed most about this game, but, that being said, there are quite a few issues that kept this from being one of the greatest games I have ever played (though it did come close to being one of the best):
-people really weren't joking when they talked about the infamous glitches in this game. There are a lot of them. Many visual glitches, and often enough there are annoying audio glitches.
-glitches can be very easy to exploit. I only started playing about 5 weeks ago, and I've already passed level 250, because I came upon a glitch that lets you instantly go from 15 to 100 in individual magic skills if you've got enchanted armor that reduces the amount of magika it takes to cast spells in certain schools of magic, and you fast travel while you're casting that spell on something (for example, you can use the Telekinesis spell on an object, and fast travel while doing so to instantly get that skill to 100), then you just need to reset the skill and repeat, every time you fast travel anywhere. That's just one exploit I came across, there are several others I've used, and I'm sure many bloggers and forumers have uncovered hundreds of others.
-the actual gameplay is somewhat cumbersome and lacking in real challenge. Combat is based more on statistics than skill, so your progression is more based on grind than anything else.
-the voice acting can be laughable
-some aggravating glitches prevented me from completing certain side quests.

Anyways, I actually really really liked this game (I've already played it for 160 hours, and plan to play it more), there's just a few technical things that keep it from being one of my favorite of all time, though I completely understand why so many other people are in love with it.

As somebody who has played Skyrim on PC for years, I was a bit worried that the game would not translate well to a smaller screen without keyboard and mouse controls, but I have been pleasantly surprised.

The graphics are almost (but not quite) as good as on PC or other consoles. Depth of field and light shafts are present, but less pronounced, and the maximum resolution is not as large. It feels a bit more like vanilla Skyrim than Special Edition, but I was still very impressed with the graphics, especially when I'm playing in the portable mode.

Sound is one area where I have noticed some good and bad. On the PC version, I feel like I have to turn the volume way up in order to hear some of the ambiance and character voices, but on the Switch version, they have balanced the sound levels out wonderfully. It sounds great without having to blast it. However, there are some audio issues added in this version as well. Sometimes, when casting a spell, the audio gets delayed until several seconds after the spell is complete, and then plays. Also, I will occasionally hear an audio spike. It sounds like some loud static for just a fraction of a second, and this definitely did not happen in any other version of the game that I have played. But, these audio issues are rare enough to shrug off.

Gameplay is just as great as it has always been. Having so many different ways to play and things to do basically guarantees high replay value and the possibility of putting hundreds of hours into the game. That said, it also retains the same bugs from previous versions. In maybe 100 hours of playing the Switch version, it has crashed three times. I hear that you can avoid crashes if you close out of the game completely (and not just put it in sleep mode). I have started doing this occasionally, and haven't had a crash since.

Controls are pretty impressive. I'm not a huge fan of using a controller for a first person game, but the Switch version compensates by allowing you to use motion controls to aim magic or bows, and it works pretty well. It can still be a bit of a pain when trying to aim very precisely at a far away target because the motion controls aren't extremely precise, but I still find that I often prefer using motion controls over the sticks. Plus the Switch version (and the Special Edition generally) has aim assist on by default, so that helps out too.

The Switch version also allows for motion controls when picking locks, which is pretty satisfying.
And finally, the Switch version includes some Zelda-themed gear, which you can get even if you don't have an Amiibo. This gear is good, but not the best you can find in Skyrim.

To conclude, Skyrim on Switch is pretty much the same Skyrim that everybody knows and loves, but you can take it on the go, and it adds some pretty useful motion controls. It's a must-buy for anybody who hasn't yet played Skyrim or for anyone who just needs an excellent first person RPG on the go.

Kill some bandits, then pause. Do anything an pause and again and again. It's somme good time you spend visiting the cold land of Skyrim.

It is the exact same game, bugs included. I would have given it a higher rating if they were new bugs (and if I personally hadn't gotten a bug that forced me to make a new character if I wanted to finish Dawnguard), but people are experiencing bugs that have been known about since 2011, and yes I know I'm reviewing the Switch version. There were a few bugs with the switch only features that they fixed, but none of the old bugs. This is just Bethesda trying to get more in sales instead if fixing the great game they already had. I love the game and love having it on the go, but I won't fully recommend it until Bethesda does their job and fix the bugs people have been complaining about for 6 years. That one major bug I experienced ruined the entire game for me as I put at least 150 hours into that character. Expand

I haven't played Skyrim before, so of course it was a blast for me! I love the world, I felt really immersed in it. Decisions feels important. I love following the stories of the characters. I CAN MARRY A GUY (as a guy) IN THIS GAME. Fighting dragons (and riding them) was awesome. And having a big game like this on a handheld is just amazing. It really looks old though. Yet another port of Skyrim, and a good opportunity for me to pick it up as it comes out on a platform that I have! So full disclaimer: I only played it on the Switch! So I don't know how it plays on other platforms. There wasn't really a moment where I thought: Man, I gotta have this in 60 fps!

It plays fine. A little buggy, you know it's still Skyrim, but it plays fine. Motion controls aren't really that comfortable though. They feel kinda awkward. But the gyro aiming with the bow is wonderful, because you can easily finetune your aiming. I tried the game with the Joy-Con grip and again: It just played fine. And that all with the fact that you play Skyrim on a handheld it's definitely worth it if you haven't played Skyrim before. It's one of the best open world games ever made.

Well, without further ADO.) Hey, buy Skyrim.)) Excellent port, no sagging anywhere, technically everything is perfect. As an action-RPG game, I also liked it, a lot of spells, weapons, armor, dragons in the end.) What else is needed.

extremely excellent !! A fantastic world to explore, fun missions that are even more difficult considering the level of the player, incredible opponents, enemies and memorable factions (and boring to face when they defeat you several times in a row ahaha ...). The Elders Scrolls V was the best game I played until the end of this review.

It's Skyrim portable. Hard to argue with that. Not much has changed. You get all the DLC, there are still bugs, and it's still the same amazing game it was for every other platform. Great port of a great game. Skyrim is one of the most played games for a reason. Its endlessly customizable and a blast. My issue with this port is that it still has many glitches from the original release. I thought maybe they would've patched out the more annoying ones. It has crashed twice on me.

A decade later did this game live up to the hype? Yes and no. Yes and no. Honestly the age of this game did make it rough to play at times, but I feel as though my thoughts would have been the same even if I played it back in 2011. The game has a high level of charm to it, with a vast world to explore and all sorts of quests to dive into, and decisions you have complete control over even to the point of the main story being nearly optional. That said the world is... mostly hideous. The NPCs are gross looking, the environments are drab and ultimately make Skyrim feel like a place you'd never want to live. The music is often dull, then soothing when it calls for it, and at it's best during big battles, which are certainly the highlight of this game. I would have loved more of that and less of the repetitive dungeon diving that made up most the game and it's quests (I swear some dungeons were just copy and pasted from previous ones with slight tweaks). So when you combine an ugly world with repetitive dungeons, it made this a rough game to stick with consistently. Oh, and the main story is essentially terrible until more than halfway through, which certainly doesn't help.

All my gripes aside, I must say... there is a charm about this game. Maybe it's the laughably bad glitches (even the ones that are gamebreaking and you have to look up to fix), or the fact that you really can explore the whole world at your own leisure, truly doing whatever you want in any order you want. Maybe it's how cool the shouts make you feel, especially the one that made me feel like a Targaryen calling out my dragon to burn down forts. The unity of the factions you joined, how deep their stories go. I can't explain it but... though I could spend all day picking out the flaws in this game, something about it always made me come back with a smile on my face. I can only hope Elder Scrolls 6 takes the series to new heights, but as far as 5 goes, it truly was a fun time.

However Bethesda did decided to treat the fans of the Switch and Skyrim by adding a little Zelda easter egg into the game. Overall the game plays exactly like it does on any other console it handles fine and plays great, however with the gyro controls of the joy cons you are able to swing them as if you have a sword however this is more of a gimmick than practical and I'm sure many won't use it generally. However it can become a little frustrating when at time you draw your sword or take a swing you didn't mean to just because you moved yourself on the sofa or something.

Despite this though the game is still as great as ever and provides a new enjoyable way to experience the game on the go.

Anyone who dreamed of exploring Skyrim on the go or during prolonged toilet sessions, will instantly forgive a slight downgrade needed to ensure fluidity (the game almost always runs at 30 fps). Apart from some visual trade-offs and a bit of exclusive Nintendo content (e.g. Link’s outfit) it’s the same game you know and possibly love. [01/2018, p.50]
